I had watched this documentary film probably twice earlier this year, and I watched it again last night after having finished Badlands '23 myself just a few days ago. For everyone watching who hasn't done badlands: this film captures the feeling of riding badlands SO WELL. The raw emotions, the colors, the solitude of riding those desolate landscapes, the camaraderie between riders, and then the pacing of the editing matches all of that perfectly...which is probably why I wanted to watch it again: because now that my own badlands experience is over there is a bit of sadness too, of not experiencing those long hot days in the saddle anymore, where the sole objective of life seemed to be to find the next "bocadillo" and climb that next meter. Life is back to normal again. So thank you once again for making this beautiful film. It helped me in the lead up and training to my own badlands, but now I will watch it countless time in order to be teleported back to my own experience. And I will be able to show it to family and friends who know nothing about ultra distance racing and with confidence tell them: "THIS is what it's like to ride badlands". Again, thank you thank you thank you for making this film 🙏

Last year I watched your video and spontaneously registered for Badlands 2024. Looking back, it was an insanely cool experience with some lows, but significantly more highs. I think everyone experiences Badlands differently and pacing is extremely important. If you go too deep, you will suffer for a long time or, in extreme cases, you will not arrive at all. I approached it very relaxed and had the focus more on fun. I think it was a good idea, for the first Ultra. Thanks a lot for sharing your experience.

This was incredible. From watching the map pins and instagram stories live as they happened whilst trying to send messages of blind support; to then seeing how those 5 days played out on film is just so surreal. All three of you did an amazing job with this ride and so thankful it was documented ❤

I've seen quite some 'ultra racing content' but this is one of the best I've seen. You guys really stepped your game up. The storytelling, the scenic shots, the edit. Amazing! Looking forward to your future adventures. Respect for the riders but also massive credits for Mike! Did he sleep at all? Bet he put some miles on his motorbike too! 😄

Thanks Mike for all the wonderful shots, the switching between first person and third person pov really makes the storytelling feel more interesting. I especially like the long shot like 1:22:00, the beautiful scene at the back, and watching the rider riding slowly towards the camera with the sound of tyres rolling over the stones.

Amazing. What an adventure. What a movie! Having watched you guys for years and knowing how far from my fitness level you are I can really feel how difficult this must have been for it to look so tough even for you guys. I’m in awe at the scale of some of these destinations too, coming from the Uk it’s so alien to see rides that go on for days in such an expansive environment, truly beautiful.

This probably sits in the top 5 of my most loved 'Ultra Distance Racing' content. One of the most honest and authentic endurance experiences I've seen. I cannot remember a documentary that covers the inner monologue of the riders so beautifully. This gives you a more in-depth and a closer look at what it takes to compete in something like the BADLANDS. Love the way it's been shot and stitched together so well.

What a movie! Incredible to see you al suffering in such a different way, big highs and deep lows. Incredible to see what the cyclist (human?) body and mind and manage and goes through during such an endeavor. As a viewer you ask yourself “why”, but at the finish you fully understand “that’s why’! Was wondering how it is to see a friendly face along the route on a motorbike. Does it help, or does it knowing he will be leaving again, make things even harder. Looking forward to see your next adventure!
