I really like the rooms next to this one. The expanses are not located high in the sky, not suspended under the iterator body... And those who are in a fucking void cave, from where all the void liquid has gone and now left a cavity in which some strange creatures probably live... Thank you for this music.

How much time do you spend on these on average? They sound very good! Also, when did you first start making music?
@snoodlestuff11 ай бұрын
Thanks! Depends on the song really, this one isn't super complex but I reckon I spent about 10 hours total on it? Other stuff can take a bit longer. Aaand I started properly making my own music around 3 years ago, though I learnt piano for quite a while before that :)

Hey, you probably won't answer this but I'm curious, how do you make all these music? I know it's the junk technique (i think this is the name) but how exactly how do you make those? Just wanted to ask srry if it is a long question :¹
@snoodlestuff11 ай бұрын
No worries :) The basis of a lot of it is junk sampling yeah, which is basically just gathering recorded audio that has general textures that align with what you want the track to sound like (eg. for this song, most of the base samples are recordings of choirs or vocal melodies from sample libraries or freesound.org), then manipulating them with various effects. For some processing examples in this song, the vocal samples were doubled/halved in speed and layered, given lots of reverb/delay and bitcrushing, as well as turned into granular pads using Quilcom Caster. This varies a lot depending on what kind of sound you want to create though, as well as experimentation with unique combinations of effects! I did do a breakdown video of Hanging Gardens' threat if you haven't seen it, which talks a bit about my process - thinking of making another soon, might touch on junk sampling a bit more there!
