This Trilogy is a timeless classic, you can watch it dozens of times and it will always be a fantastic action series. I say trilogy because the 4th one has nothing to do with the 3 they just tagged it on the end to jack up the sales.

In the scene where Marie was killed Jason was originally driving but he and Marie switched places. Thus, when Kirill shoots he aims for the driver thinking it is Bourne. Knowing that he shot the driver and seeing the vehicle crash into the river, Kirill assumes with what he considers high certainty that Bourne is dead. I look forward to your reaction to "The Bourne Ultimatum".
@Jack_804 ай бұрын
i think he knew he shot her, which is why he was making sure jason didn't surface. when he didn't, he just assumed he drowned. he may have been aiming for the driver, thinking it was him, but you'd think he would have seen that they switched places when he took the shot. since most people can't hold their breath for 5+ minutes, it was safe to assume he was dead.

Great reaction, as always. This is my favorite of the trilogy, though I know that is a minority opinion. The third is excellent too, but the fight in the apartment is my favorite fight in the series. Bumping into the blinds was accidental, according to the director’s commentary, but the clatter was so electric that the director kept it in and added more bumps during the fight. In addition, the visit with the Nevski girl is my favorite scene in the series, beautifully underplayed in the writing and the acting, and profoundly moving.

12:05 "You didn't check very well." He really didn't need to. He saw Bourne driving the car. A minute later he put a bullet through the driver's head. He saw the hit, the crash, and nobody came up. But most importantly, he knows his bullet killed the driver. The only part he couldn't know was that Jason and Marie switched seats in the middle of a high-speed pursuit.

31:56 "There is the famous Moscow landmark in every movie." Saint Basil's Cathedral. Showing that for movies in Moscow is like showing the Golden Gate Bridge for movies in San Francisco - it must be done. Cinematographers cannot resist the temptation. Also, it is useful for establishing the location. But mostly, it's just so we can say "Oooh, look at the landmark." I do it. My wife eats it up; she's in the travel industry and landmarks are her life.

TEAM BOURNE❤ this whole franchise is ridiculous in plot. there was a SUPER SOLDIER classified project in UK in the 1990s where elite soldiers were experimented on. R&D using drugs and brainwave alteration with ability to wipe their memories. In a sense create a super soldier with muktiple powers. An ex soldiier surfaced and was intervuewed and wanted to blow the whistle. His consciousness was awakened during the experiments and he had nany visionary and osychic abilities. An interview surfaced on youtube we used to love and it has since been taken down. Amazing stuff . I dont want to say anything more .

Speaking of recognizable actors: The zip tie guy was also the villain Teddy in "The Equalizer" with Denzel. The "I hate that guy" guy (Ward) was the original Hannibal Lecktor in "Manhunter" (1986). Both are excellent movies, recommended. "Manhunter" was done by the guy who did the original "Miami Vice" series, and it has a similar cinematic style and soundtrack. It was also remade as "Red Dragon" but I think that William Peterson as Will Graham in the original was the better character.

If you read the books (which are far better) Marie does not die until much, much later in the series. The "dude you don't like and never have" is also different in the books, later. He is ruthless at the beginning but after he finds out about the amnesia, he becomes friends with Bourne, even helps him out quite a bit. My favorite line (as it probably is most people): "It's easy, she's standing right next to you".

i didn't recognize karl urban either the first time i saw this movie in the theaters. i think he lost a lot of weight which is why his face seems so slender - it's like his assassin character is a nocturnal animal that doesn't eat or sleep much ;). even though 'bourne ultimatum' is the most popular of the trilogy, 'supremacy' has always been my sentimental favorite. also, i DO recommend watching the renner sequel 'bourne legacy' which i think is greatly underrated. great reaction!

There are currently 5 movies in the series. The latest is Jason Bourne and is supposed to be Matt Damon's swan song as Jason Bourne. They are looking to continue the series using new characters. They were intending to try a new series with Jeremy Renner but his other obligations have made his furthering in the role impossible.

@@johnwjr7 Legacy was intended to be the the fourth film staring Matt Damon. Everything was in place to start it when first Greengrass and then Damon backed out at the last minute. This caused the major shift in character and story of Legacy. Jason Bourne used the basic storyline that was originally intended for Legacy.

I hope you will consider the Jeremy Renner film, "The Bourne Legacy" (2012), which also stars Rachel Weisz. I think it is the best of them all and would certainly enjoy your reaction to it and your opinion of the film. Also, let me put a plug in for a John Ford western I dearly love, and I hope, if you haven't seen it, you will love also. It is "The Horse Soldiers" (1959) starring John Wayne, William Holden, and Constance Benning. It is a sweeping Civil War saga that is actually based on a real incident where a Union Calvary unit made a raid into the South. It is a great, sweeping story and has all the elements a great film should have. If you haven't seen it, I envy you watching it for the first time. It's a wonderful movie and you will love it - I promise. All the Best - Kenton Couch

The Bourne Legacy is pretty good and worth a watch. It's definitely the fourth movie in the trilogy, if you know what I mean, but that is mostly a good thing. It does a lot of back-filling and world-building, which is interesting, and all the actors are great in their roles. However, Jason Bourne, the fifth movie, is a waste of time and effort. It cares infinitely more about cinematography and stunts than about the plot.
