Try a few different angle of your racket face and soon you will be able to find out thye way to make it flat. If your normal service is flat then you can do it to cross direction too. Spent a little more time, I am sure you will get it. Lee

No it is not cheating as long as your service hitting point is lower the your waist line. Not many people use it but it is right skill to use. You did right thing to look for something different. Lee

Man can attack harder and shaper that is why they do more backhand low service but women is different that is why there are more high service then man in singles. Lee

I understand as I have seen some players who do as you do. You have to focus not to do it and practice. Do net drop with your friend and I am sure your eyes will be openned, do drive and try to open your eyes. Now ask your friend to smash softer, if you are successful then ask him to smash bit harder. Try to do it step by step then I am sure you will gain confidence to open your eyes. Lee

You can do many things. Skipping, leg weight training, stair run, hill stringting, jumping, running and so on. If you play hard court it may be a good idear to use good shoes with more shock absorbing capacity. Even you have good leg strength, continue playing hard court could couse knee problem. Lee

1. The timing of your service have to be right. Be able to select the time to make uncomfertable to your opponent. Some time delay bit more or serve a few second quicker 2. change the direction of service so he is not sure 3. do one or two flick early so he has to ready for the flick 4. Most importantly practice alot to make your service flat/tight Lee

Mr Lee. Thank you for your videos. There are a lot of videos on "how to" by badminton coaches. The differentiating factor in your videos is not only the "how to" and "what to" but " why to". The "why to" gives a lot of confidence in your teaching. I started playing badminton at my age of 37. I am 41 today and thanks to your videos I am able to compete with the youngsters of today. And I am able to teach your techniques to them as well. God bless you for all your intiatives. Sundar. Pondicherry. India

Hello Mr Lee, here is my review: the services were quite good this time, I was even able to make the low backhand service to the near left corner, my opponent was kinda surprised :) Only a few mistaked I made, that was great! However, I do have big problems with my returns, they're always too high and my opponent is able to smash/drop the feather just behind the net ;/

Hi Coach Lee, Your each and every video is very much informative. Your explaining ability about every technique is really superb. I am playing badminton since 4 yrs. We have a mat court here in India, which is a bit hard and has less shock absorbing capacity. So can you suggest any exercise for getting strong knees? Any exercise to make thigh muscle powerful?

Hi Coach, I am new to this sport so was hunting for tips here and i liked your advice and tips...it was indeed it was very useful. Is there any exercise or warm up where i can improve my flexibility most of the time i get stressful or get injured while trying to beat my opponent... kindly advice. Once again Thank you coach.

I can make drive like serve shot, aimed to the opponent body. the speed is fast and flat to the net. Usually I do that to catch him/her offguard. If the serve is succesful, the opponent will return an easy shot. Question: is that normal to do, is it cheating? I somehow learned that serve by trying something different.

Hi, Coach Lee. Sir in previous videos you told us how to tackle the low services. But when I am going take the low service to my opponent, he will also use the same tactics. Then what should be the approach to make a perfect service?

Thanks coach lee. The opponents have been killing my serve all week. The tips that you gave above is very helpful. Other than technique, your advice about mental edge in serve is spot on. Instead of strategizing to win, we tend to focus on serve.

thanks coach lee this was a big help but sometimes when i serve i try to put a lot of power into it and hit it straight at them which catches them by surprise. I am a little taller than most players which makes it a lot easier to do that.

@coachingbadminton
@coachingbadminton 10 жыл бұрын
Hi Thank you for visiting my channel. Both are good rackets and it would be very good for you to try those rackets before you buy. The best way is to test the racket to feel it your self. Bit heavy racket is better then too light racket for you to use powerful shots. As you are start now please view the clips on the "poor players behaviour" and "how to become advanced player" They are so much more important things then any other skills. Lee

Good day Lee... This is the only thing which I don't follow your way.. I do everything as you explain only for the shuttle position. You hit the shuttle keeping it perpendicular to the racquet string which is absolutely fine, but when I keep it parallel to the string I find it much more comfortable and the trajectory of the birdie is much more stable... Also I find the flick serve much more deceptive when I do in my style. Please give your valuable comments..
