OMG Linda, this is the difficult course I think I have even seen. Great trust needed betwn horse & rider. Glad they had thick leggings, becus a miss could be fatal. Jeez....a massive uphill jump landing on a steep downhill & then an angle jump. I loved the red vehicle jump. Thank you soooo much. Did you notice how the white horse tucked his rear feet on the water jump. He almost looked like he was doing Yoga. I've never seen a horse tuck quite like that. He wasn't taking any chances.

This gives new perspective to this old hat. HotDamn! Crossfit god/goddesses have nothing on an international level event horse for core strength and agility. I thought I really understood HOW a horse jumps...really I did...I see that there were a few things I was not crystal clear on. Thank you Centaur Biomechanics for all you do for us that are searching to feel like centaurs and the horses we love!

Agree with freddyvonrabenau1 - you can really see the impact of the hit on the legs, essentially very fragile limbs. Incredible footage, you can really see the very subtle (in real time) adjustments that the horse performs. Also very interesting to the riders positions and what they are doing. You could watch the same horse jump over and over again, and still be picking out subtle things - too much movement of the hands maybe, off balance on landing etc etc. Fascinating stuff, thanks guys!

Horses who do thar are brave if i was a horse i wouldn't even jump 1 metre can't imagine what those horses do .......good filming!!

Awesome footage! Like the other commenter I learned a few things about the way these special horses do these amazing jumps and combinations. I'd love to compare to footage of quality lower level horses (say Training level or Prelim) on XC to see the development of athleticism that takes place. Thanks!

quite uncomfortable to watch in slow motion how often the horses knock their legs on the jumps. I'm sure some of it goes undetected, just like the injuries agility dogs sustain. Things are so fast that we miss the severity of them with the naked eye, or even the fact they occurred...
