I have 4 of them and love them for what they are, but I definitely agree that these are not as similar to the UD Moondust shadows as I thought they would be. They’re very sheer, with tiny, fine sparkle particles. I like them for very light makeup days. My favorite is definitely White Hot! Ian partial to Filthy Rich as well. I’d like to try Straight Fire, but my Target didn’t have it. I haven’t tried It’s Glit either, but idk if I really want to.

I swatched these in store earlier and Straight Fire looked pretty nice, but they look and feel like eyeshadows from 20 years ago. Although, I love the subtle flash of light in the look you are wearing. Will check out Beauty Creations, thank you!

I think these are a great addition to the drugstore! UD Decay Space Cowboy and Cosmic are some of the most used makeup in my collection, so I love seeing more accessible versions available, even if they aren't quite as sparkly. ✨✨

Can you do more videos featuring shadows you already have? I love the your favorite one and dones, duping a certain palette or reimagining palettes, etc just stuff featuring shadows that you use consistently. I know we all love the new releases, and I can't speak for everyone of course, but it's just not always relatable when some people can't buy every new release, ya know? Videos on new releases in a sea of other new products can get really overwhelming at times, to me personally obviously it's just an opinion and not everyone feels that way of course. Your "looking into my collection" videos are so refreshing and interesting to me!

They should have put these in palettes and called them a new wet effect formula for their bite size palettes. Trying to hit a double dupe for UD and ND. They would have more leeway there for not 100% duping either.

Thanks for the review! They all are super sheer except for the filthy rich one. People who don’t wear eyeshadow (a lot) and who doesn’t want to spend a lot of money, this will do fine. But when you have as many eyeshadows, especially from Indie brands, this is very underwhelming.

Yes. Moira or Colourpop (CP) or Beauty Creations (I haven't tried Beauty Creations tho). If u want singles that are duochromes, Moira is much better than CP, but their flips are still not as strong as Juvia's Place's, which only has palettes. Juvia's chromes are also not as strong as an indie brand's. CP Supershocks have that bouncy formula that sticks to the eye better for all day wear (tho I still prefer the guarantee of staying power w an eye primer if I'm not in a rush). CP Supershocks also have different formulas from satins to medium sparkle to glam sparkle, but often label them all "ultra glitter". CP's "Ritz" is known as a close dupe to UD Space Cowboy to start tho.

For aging eyelids, the ELF ones are nice and smooth. Sometimes we don't want the added texture. Just a viewpoint from someone in their mid 40's with very hooded eyes. I will say pop off pink did look not much different than a silver in one of my old Kaleidos palettes. Both had a very similar sparkle on the eye and almost looked like one shadow ✨️

Would you say Straight Fire has similarities to Half Magic Blushing Lizard? But less shiny?

Not really! blushing lizard feels squishy/wet, has more shine and a reddish brown base. Straight fire is very sheer and dry. I’ll post a swatch in my IG stories today!

They remind me of ColourPop, and CP shock shadows definitely apply too sheer, and usually dry out immediately. The first and especially that last shade are the only ones that I plan on trying. The others are way too sheer, but then depends on skin tone.

The Elf shadows don’t feel wet at all like Supershocks. They’re dry like a regular shimmer eyeshadow. Supershocks are much shinier than these 😅

I personally dislike the exxagerated pop of glitter from UD and Moira. I prefer a more subtle finish like e.l.f. shadows. It's still playful and fun, but you can wear it modestly, without people staring at you. At least that's how I wear makeup and most indie brands are too much to wear on a normal day for me.

Meh. Except for White Hot, I think Moira outshined elf. They aren’t awful, but they aren’t impactful enough for us indie lovers. Besides, Moira occasionally has sales too so I think I’ll pass.
