What are you talking about? This meet was in 2011 (in 2011 Laurie was 10 or 11 and you can tell she's 10 or 11 in this video) and it was posted to KZbin in 2011. So it's not some "throwback" video from like 2006 or something like you're claiming it is.

Natalie S technically this is from the '10s not the '00s. If it was from the '00s it would be from 2000-2009. This is from 2011 making it a different decade.

She was adorable. And she was the same back then in terms of her gymnastics. She really fought to save every landing by adjusting herself very quickly, she had the same dance moves and ability, and that same determined look on her face.

Most little girl gymnasts think that somehow they are going to the Olympics someday. And since Laurie was already a good elite here at age 10, I can guarantee you she thought she'd make the Rio Olympics. Especially since when she was 9 she told her coach Maggie "I'm going to make the Olympics."

Kevin Jewell lol as long as simone is healthy she is floor gold champion. She's never made mistakes on floor internationally + she scores at least 0.5 higher than the rest of the field internationally. She has a huge jump now too with an additional 0.4 in difficulty.

One of the first videos I ever saw of Laurie. I was super impressed by her dancing I had never seen a gymnast go that hard at a dance. The other video was of her at the visa championships 2013 and I have my eye on her ever since. I'm so happy for her for what she's accomplished and I can't wait to see what she does next.

I love Laurie. She was great in the 2016 Olympics, and won the Mirrorball Trophy a few months later on DWTS. Wish she was competing this year. She's missed!!!!

Wow. She has great dance precision. She reminds me of Shannon Miller at that age. Very exacting in her movement. She also isn't sloppy in her corners, which is rare for a gymnast her age. It will be exciting to see her improve in her gymnastics... especially on FX and BB. Good luck!
