Thank you for this very thoughtful review. I see Hello, World as a rebirth of sorts. He experiments in ways he never has before (never been allowed to?) both with his song choices and how he uses his voice. (I personally appreciate that there is not the usual level of vocal flexing. We know what he can do!) Is it his best? It’s the least accessible of his albums. Other than Pineapple Slices, it’s not very ready for radio. For me it definitely was a grower. Oddly enough, it’s the album I’ve listened to the most immediately upon release and I’ve listened to and watched Pineapple Slices more than his other title tracks. I hope we don’t have to wait too long to see where this journey takes him next.

*Baekyhun and EXO are my singing lovebirds ❤️‍🔥 and I know a lot of people are more into rnb however they as a group have many genres. The only ones that made me like rock. Im happy they were not tainted by the west, I boycotted them decades ago. As a woman I love the entire album and the 2nd song has a Bossa nova feel to it. My brother had me listen to all different kinds of beats since childhood for 2-4 hours. As a hobby I sang, played instruments and became a dance teacher, maybe that’s why I’m picky. If you want R&B you need to start from the beginning. I only listen to EXO, Lay, NCT, SuperM, Shinee and I listen to other groups however I don’t bother because they don’t grab my attention and I easily get bored.*
