in my opinion, sinner is tied (if not better) than berrettini. i guess it also depends on surface bc berrettini could potentially beat sinner on grass. but i don't see him being better than sinner or clay or hardcourt

Berrettini’s having a great run but let us not forget that Sinner is #1 in the race with a total of just 4 losses, all to top guys in matches which went the distance. Sinner has also outperformed Berrettini in Slams and won their only Slam match. He’s still undoubtedly the best Italian player

Really it’s their skill sets that make it a great matchup. Neither have massive weapons and have to rely on their craftiness, touch, and point construction. That always makes for awesome tennis

Gaston made some incredible shots. Had me saying “OH SHIT!”, “HOLY FUCK”..and so on. That was high level. Baez has been slipping a little as of late. He was so good for like the last year and a half Martinez has been doing well. He’s good on clay, so it makes sense. And Hanfmann’s win over Seyboth Wild was just more likely to happen. I wonder if anyone will take down Berrettini.
