Now Bafang needs to develop a BBSHD-like light motorcycle motor, say 4 times the power of the BBSHD. I'd pay 2k for it. I'm not a fan of the hose clamp drives, otherwise I'd get one of those.

I'm quit intrigued in buying one for my next cargo bike project, but can any one tell me if its possible to reprogram the unit to have a "restriction" switch so produces less wats? Dont trust my gf and mother enough to let them ride with 1000W of assist.

I was thinking order the mounting bracket, take you bike and remove the front chain ring assembly. Then lay the bracket to get a rough idea of where to mount. Trace the cut out with a sharpie and then weld the bracket into an existing frame. Depends depending on your welding skills, it could look stock.

Maybe motor coils shortage. If Bafang can provide you motor coil resistance you can check coil resistance and see if it is within limits.

Pretty cool. I like the larger parts and easy disassembly. I'll stick to the Cyclone motors for most riding, but can totally see why I would want to buy one of these too. Street legal is nice some times. Have you (Luna) had any special stuff done with the controller for your offerings like you've had done on other motors for higher power?

Uhh, the stator is the thing wrapped in wire. The rotor is the chinga with the magnets. Looks like a synrm motor.

Who are "we"? Without knowing this I can't answer your question honeatly. If "we" is a group containing someone without an undeveloped brain (such as yourself, proven here by your question) then, yes. It could also be adapted to power a dildo or just about anything with enough determination. Only a smooth brain would fail to see this as obvious. Can this e-bike be powered by this e-bike part made for powering e-bikes? Adapting? No, that's literally what it's made for. Slightly modified at the most.
