Hello! Do you find that the hook is secure and stays closed? I typically like secure closures on my bag but love this style!

Yes I would say that the hook mechanism is rather secure. You def need some effort to undo the clasp that's for sure. (Just thought I'll note that despite the hook being done up, the bag will still be somewhat open, the hook is only to cinch the bag smaller.) Hope this helps! 😇
