Hi everyone, I hope you’re all feeling happy and are having a great Thursday! 😄🎶 Today I performed a short Bagatelle by Beethoven in F Minor. It’s very light and airy, but also quite dark and solemn at the same time which is one of the best things about this rather emotional piece! 👍🏼 It holds a very beautiful and evocative melody! 😍🎹 This piece is found in the Kullak Sketchbook belonging to Beethoven which was only recently found and discovered. This piece is known to be Beethoven’s last piece he wrote before his sad death. 😢 This piece may seem quite simple and easy, but don’t be fooled! It’s actually quite challenging, especially the middle section with thirds! 🤪😁 It requires quick thinking and relaxed hands! I hope you all enjoyed my video today. 😊 Stay happy always and please don’t forget to Like and Subscribe and leave a request in the google forms link in my channel description! 😆👋🏼

I haven't listened to enough of Beethoven's Bagatelles...It's probably because of the overplaying of that one bagatelle. Cool upload! (:

Sweet and short! I really love how you played this classical tune. Your style of playing definitely went well with this classical piano piece too! Wonderful articulation and nuances, PF! You're truly a classical pianist at heart!

I think you can reach high numbers because you do unpopular pieces (so those pieces with sheets are only or almost in your channel) and you upload frequently. I love so much your channel because I hear from your playing your love for music. Keep up, my friend! And keep on uploading not so popular pieces because this is the only way you can stand out from the crowd!

I think you did a great job catching the emotion in this piece! And those parallel thirds look quite challenging! But you did great with that part too :)

Great work ^^ Love this small piece, may I ask, what catalogue number is this like WoO 47, Opus 2 and is it a posthumous composition? Wonderful work :)

Ludwig van Beethoven's supposedly last piano work has been found by musicologist Peter McCallum, while studying the composers final music sketchbook at the Berlins state library. The 32 bars piece was found in the so called Kullak sketchbook, one of Beethovens working documents full of ideas, jotted notes and musical fragments. Mr McCallum noticed what he calls the Bagatelle in F minor in the middle of Beethovens sketches for the String Quartet Op.135. Obviously it wasnt clear it was a piano piece instantly because Beethoven often used a chaotic sort of shorthand. Mr McCallum said he believed the piece was written in October 1826, a few months before Beethovens death in March 1827. I didn't know it was a piano piece until I actually sat down and tried to write it out, says McCallum. Beethoven almost never used clefs or key signatures so you have to think about it but once you do crack the code its clear. Mr McCallum adds.
