Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch - Sunset Drive and Cheetah Feeding

The Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch lies, as the name suggests, on the edge of the Kalahari in Namibia near Hardap and Mariental. The Kalhari is a thorn bush or dry savannah which is often referred to as a desert due to the predominant sand. Most of the year it is very dry and not very overgrown, but in certain years when the summer rains were abundant it shines in a lush green of the grass growing there. And that's exactly when we visited it - which only happens every few years and looked beautiful but has the disadvantage that the animal sightings were limited. However, that didn't detract from the wonderful landscape and the sensational guided trip - on the contrary, the landscape enchanted us.
In addition to guided drives, you can also undertake a number of other activities at the Game Ranch, such as horse riding excursions or cheetah feeding, which we also show in this video.

Vielen lieben Dank - da wünschen wir euch jetzt schon viel Spass und hoffentlich gutes Wetter - diesen Jänner hat es ja sehr viel geregnet in Namibia, deshalb war es auch Ende Februar/Anfang März so grün. Zum Camper wir haben bisher zweimal einen in Namibia gemietet - dieses mal bei Africa on Wheels und beim ersten mal bei Safari Rental - eine Kombination der beiden Anbieter wäre in unseren Augen perfekt. Bei Africa on Wheels hat alles perfekt geklappt, nur die Austattung des Campers war eher schwach - bei Safari Rental war die Campingausstattung perfekt, leider gab es Probleme bei der Abwicklung (Stichwort Rückerstattung der Kaution). Ich denke wenn wir nochmal mieten würden, würden wir wieder Safari Rental nehmen, nur das mit der Kaution vorab klären (ev. in Bar hinterlegen). Viel Spaß beim Planen!

Da waren wir im Mai 2022 💓 es war traumhaft schön und die Kalahari ist definitiv auch eine zweite Reise wert 😉 fand es dort eigentlich sogar schöner als im Etosha NP 🙈

Uns hat es ebenso unglaublich gut gefallen - wir würden sie auch noch ein zweites Mal besuchen - dann zur Trockenzeit, damit wir sie auch so sehen wie sie meistens aussieht. ;-) Wir finden den Etosha auch nicht so schön, aber der Tierreichtum (sofern man die richtige Zeit wählt) ist schon beeindruckend dort. :-)
