Bagori is famous for it culture of Tibet and apple farms.
Bagori is also having all old wooden home around 150 years old.
After the 1962 Indo-Chinese, the residents of Nelong Valley- Rongpas is also known as ‘Bhotiyas’ were forced to migrate to Bagori village and other nearby villages.
Bagori village is located within the Harsil Valley, situated in the state of Uttarakhand. It is a picturesque village featuring charming wooden houses and has been recognized and awarded for its exceptional cleanliness. The atmosphere in Bagori is wonderfully tranquil.
In this video, we explore a beautiful village in Harsil Valley- Bagori which was like a hidden gem tucked away in one corner of Harsil. I might have mispronounced the name as Baagori instead on Bagori, which I realised only later on.

Nelong valley is a cold desert like area, resembling the terrain of Ladakh. It is situated in Uttarakhand, near the Indo-China border. It is 11000 feet above sea level and around 25kms away from Gangotri. It’s a restricted area due to its proximity to the Indo-Chinese border and it has mostly remained forbidden to citizens after Indo-Chinese war of 1962.
1962 में भारत-चीन युद्ध के समय कहा जाता है कि सीमा पर स्थित जदूँग और नेलांग गांवों की खाली हो गई थी, और वहीं के अधिकांश लोग बगोरी गांव में बस गए थे।
यहाँ के लोग सेब की खेती, बकरी पालन, और जड़ी-बूटी का व्यापार करते हैं, और यहाँ की चाय काफी प्रसिद्ध है।
