I love the Chanel WOC on my wife, she's a pretty tall, slender girl and it just dangles in the right place - its also petite. I never liked her jumbo Chanel as to me - yes I know I know, I'm a man - it looks chunky almost like a loaf of bread.

I am debating to buy the pochette metis. It grew on me after the popularity. Initially I thought it looked too square and wasn't sure why everyone loved it. You are spot on in describing the bag as difficult to style. I was trying to picture what outfit it would look good with, but did not have any ideas. I tried to google it to see how others wear it to get some ideas, but didn't really find outfits that I liked. I think the only time that it look good is without the shoulder strap because it would look more like the classic luggage look. Without the strap would look good with business outfits. I think the strap makes it look a little masculine because it looks like a guitar strap. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about the bag - very helpful. Thank you.

this is my first time commenting and just wanted to let you know I have really been enjoying your channel! I like that you are very clear in your delivery and giving your honest feedback. With most bag videos on youtube being about how much people love their bags, it's refreshing to hear the flip side of it. I totally agree that bags are such a personal choice and through owning them you get a better sense of what you like. For me, I am learning that I am a minimalist at heart as the bags I carry the most are my WOC and trio. Looking forward to more videos! :)

Pochette metis aka the boomerang bag. When you leave the store with it you’ll be back... over and over again in hopes that eventually you will get one that isn’t defective. Getting a well made one is less likely than spotting unicorn in the arctic.

But mostly I love how honest you are, I feel very related because sometimes it's difficult to find the perfect bag for work, I'm in a Corporate building and I don't want to look that informal with a crossbody or mini bags, or other over-hype bags such as pochette metis... Don’t feel bad about the Metis, I think it’s actually a great bag for an older lady, chic in her solid white/black/grey/navy outfits kinda thing, it always looks right on an older chic lady, where as younger girls don’t look right :) that’s just my observation so far, and I’m getting one for my 50th bday :) Something to look forward to! I bought 10 designer bags this year already. I love bags and yes key is lifestyle. I carry small bags and ended up selling all my bigger bags at a big loss. They must fit my big phone, has to be light. I have a cream ysl wallet on chain with price tag still on it. I need to sell it and get some Lv. I enjoy watching your reviews.

Like you, I sell handbags that don't work out long term. However, I love my Chanel WOC. It's perfect for two purposes... shopping hands-free, and dinners out. :) It's also great for traveling as a little bag to carry when you're touring around during the day.

I totally agree with balenciaga city. At first i really2 dream about the bag, but when I got it, i rarely used it. I find it very not practical, its kinda heavy and when you used it and its hard for you to find your stuff in that bag. I prefer balenciaga velo over city. Thanks for the video Amy 😘😘

+Alana R Honestly, I struggle with this too! I now mostly sell on my blog/ instagram because there is such a lack of good options. I totally agree that eBay isn't ideal and those that charge 25% upwards are just insane. I still use eBay sometimes and have sold on Videdressing in the past too. Sorry I couldn't be more help - I wish there was a better option!

Haha sometimes I think we've spent soooo much money as well as time buying and selling bags. I often wonder how much more money I would have in my account I hadn't bought them in the first place not to mention the time and energy I've spent. I finally pared down to 4 Louis Vuittons after selling six of them and I must say I feel very happy about it. I just couldn't give up the four which I love. They'll be with me always and I know they'll outlast me😄😄😄

I went to a popular resale site. The majority of the bags looked chewed up and the owners only wanted about 100 less than what they paid. Also the reviews from buyers were really upsetting. I think I will just buy brand new.

+Ellen May hi, I am 160cm tall. Personally don't like that the chain is so long and I'm not into cross body bags. I know you can double up the chain inside to make it shorter but every time you open the flap you kinda need to do it again which is a hassle. That's why I dislike it, for the price I don't think it's worth the hype imo.

The Prada Saffiano tote is on my regret list as well, but I haven't had the heart to sell it because I do love it so much, even though I rarely wear it. A Birkin used to be my dream bag, and I feel that the tote is Pradas equivalent, but I quickly realized neither of those are really for me (good thing I learnt my lesson on something cheaper than a Birkin!), I just really need a strap as well (did anyone say Kelly?).

I feel the same way! Love the look of the Birkin but my Prada experience makes me doubt the practicality. The Kelly is edging it for me too - I think the Fendi peekaboo is similar in style so I'm seeing how I do with that one!

FYI Heathrow T3 Chanel no longer offer a discount for EU travel, I was there this week 😢 there is a lower price for travel outside EU. I just bought a pink Gucci WOC much bigger than Chanel and half the price😀

great review - the two types of bags I have bought and sold (more than once...) are the LV Speedy (can't stand the sag and how it sticks out from the body) and the H Evelyne (strap is just too casual for me). I hope I stop trying to make them work just because they are practical and popular cross-body bags...

Great video, very informative! Wanted to ask where you found it best to sell? I can certainly relate to the WOC, I know many love, but I have 2, that I never reach for and I think it's time to let them go. I also agree on the Balenciaga. +Bee RS I mostly sell on my IG and blog now because there is such a shortage of good places to sell! I do fall back on eBay but I find it less than ideal and sometimes quite scary to sell on there! I have used Videdressing before too but their site is a little messy to navigate. I stay away from the others because their fees are so high. There absolutely needs to be some better options!

I tried (and failed) to sell my Double Sens which I find to be too heavy with the double leather. It seemed fine in the shop for some reason. No idea what I can do with it. Such a shame to leave it sitting in a box. Taught me a valuable lesson about high-quality H leather, though!

Thanks for sharing your experience. May I ask you a question? For all the bags you've sold, did you make any money out of it? Or you had to sell them in a big discount? Also, which bags (that you've sold) hold their values best?

+Michele Lam It depends on the bag but I don't generally make money on my bags but nor do I usually make huge losses. I think the one exception to this was a Chanel maxi flap that I bought just before several big price increases (I stupidly forgot to mention this one here!) - I did make a bit on that. Chanel and Hermes probably hold their value best, followed by LV but it is very much style dependent IMO.

That's good to hear. I have sold my Celine Micro Luggage, Gucci and Balenciaga handbags to two different second hand shops at almost 50-60% discount even though they were in Pristine condition (I only worn them couple times) :( I tried to sell them via Yahoo auction! but only received suspicious buyers' responses, that I didn't feel comfortable to send my bags to them. I also tried to post pics in my instagram and facebook, but I guess the exposure was quite limited as I don't have much followers... Thus, I ended up selling to reputable second hand shops in a big discount. So sad. I lost quite a bit. Can you make a video sharing tips on how you sell your handbags? That would be very helpful. Thanks :)

I really feel the WOC is meant to be your wallet and to be the wallet even in your big work totes but then if you want to go on a run for something u just take the woc..

I feel the same way about the pochette metis! When I was searching for it and watching all the KZbin videos on it, I wanted one so badly, but after having it for a few months, I never seem to reach for it anymore. There is always a reason not to use it (e.g. weather, doesn't quite go out with my outfit), and I find myself choosing to use other cross-body bags instead. It is such a beautiful bag though that I can't let go of it just yet. How do you usually sell your bags - ebay or to an online consignment shop?

+littleswallow16 Now, I sell mostly on my blog or IG but in the past I've used eBay and Videdressing. I stay away from consignment because the fees tend to be so high. It's unfathomable to me how people are fine giving away 30% of their bag sale price - I just couldn't do it! So I always try to go for the most cost effective route possible haha x
