That flower farm is called Northern Blossom and there are people there who come from Samar or Bicol area who were recruited as farm workers. They were still there last March when we visited. Visitors are given unlimited bread and coffee after the tour. If Kulas will proceed northward following the Halsema road or what used to be called "mountain trail", he will end up at Sagada or Bontoc, Mt. Province (the only province in the Phils that is in English and descriptive of the place). Along this road are the vegetable terraces carved by the farmers out of the slopes for lack of flat areas to farm. Majority of the upland vegetables sold in Baguio and Manila come from this stretch of road until Mt. Data National Park"plateau", Sinto. There is a good hotel at Sinto (from the word syento to mean km 100) called Mt. Data Hotel and it is surrounded by a forest. Between Sinto and from where he is now, he can have access to the Timbac cave (that has well preserved mummies). If he will turn left at Buguias, he will end up at Tagudin Ilocos Sur passing by Lepanto mines. Right at Buguias will take him to Kabayan and if he wants to, go up to Mt. Pulag at Ambangeg, Bokod. That is the beauty of traveling on his own without preset itinerary or timetable because he can go wherever he wants to go. Good luck Kulas and drive safe. It gets foggy in the afternoons so you should take your time motoring to prevent going over the precipices. Just like wherever in the country, you have to watch out to these crazy van drivers who think they are kings of the road and who drive fast even in foggy conditions in this twisting mountain road causing many accidents.

Guys, don't waste your veggies. See those stiff mountains, that's where your veggies are coming from like potatoes, cabbage, lettuce, broccoli, carrots, beans, etc and the roses too. They carry the harvested veggies to the road for transport. So don't complain when sometimes vegetable prices soar high specially during rainy seasons.

Thank you Kulas for visiting Baguio. You reminded me of yesteryears. You are in my backyard and memories are come rushing through me right now. Drone shoots, reminds me of places I used to hang out with friends. Just be careful in your navigation. This is the reason why I'm drawn to watching vlogging because I get to see the real filming right on the spot, where it happens, as it happens. Way better than watching TV. Keep vlogging Kulas, I'm behind you all the way. My father is originaly Bisaya from Coron, Palawan. It's the job opportunity that brought my parents to the area. By the way, I went to one of the universities in there.

Go to Sagada. Caves, Hanging coffins, Log Cabin restaurant..... and if youre lucky, you might catch their French chef. He’s notorious for spontaneously trekking off into the mountains without notice, but when he’s in town, you can pick up freshly baked pastries from his home. And when he’s available at the Log Cabin Restaurant, you are guaranteed an amazing dinner made from what’s locally available. When we were there, we had roast wild boar, salad from fern shoots, a wonderful bean stew, red rice grown locally, fresh baked bread, wonderful coffee, and an amazing cake. Everything prepared and cooked by him. By the way, keep your ears open cause he’s very pooular.... so you need to make reservations. Also ask for the lookout point where you can go early morning to watch the sunrise over cloud banks and mountain tops.

Let me know if you ever plan a trip back to Dapitan and Dipolog, Zbga Del Norte, Mindanao. That’s my family’s neck of the woods. You did a quick trip there, too quick. Its a very historical area where the national hero, Jose Rizal, was exiled. There’s more to it than a quick drive through. And maybe someday, I’ll make it to Cagayan de Oro. My grandmother came from there.
