Didn't look black with fish Dave, having seen the footage of Jamie Hughes, who is obviously a class apart from most people, but he had acres of room and made the most of it. They said that peg had never produced a winning weight, but with all that room, empty all around, you would have caught plenty of fish there, maybe not as much as Jamie, but still enough to be near the top in that section. good luck for the next one. One of those days Dave. I have fished the actual peg you had and didnt do much better than you. I did fish at 14 meters with pellet and caught most fish from there. I also had a few later on in left hand margin. You were never going to beat the road side pegs 22 to 27. Well fished any way. Good luck at the Rookery. Cheers

Unlucky dave. I go to makins for a few days hoilday and have been for past 8 years the peg you have been on which I have fished soft pellet 5m for skimmers .ping 6m to corner of island and fish a light bomd 10g with 8m . Edges are slow on that side. G bait and dead maggot. Soni bait mighty meat red is good. Good luck on next one. I've started to use that new ground bait poloni mix and wow its good might switch to it. Seen you at hallcroft filming gave u a wave while me were on holiday. 😊

I wish. I'm not as good as good as you top fellas. Only go twice a week or once a week. It's 2 and half hours to the places I love. Barston. Makins. Hallcroft. Love to have a day with someone .dave wood. Andy kinder.

I would stick that method rod away like a depth charger going in that small commercial spooking any chances away of catching when it is flat calm best option i find is to sneak baits in via pole pot tapping pellets (4mm) would certainly gained you more bites mate....But onwards to the next one we live & learn..."YOU CAN ONNNLLYYYY DO YOUR BEST!"😅

David can I offer some advice.. get some poloni liquid from bait tech and .get a bag of 2'6&8mm pellets and pour some of the liquid on them tie bag up leave a day or two.repeat with less liquid . Then on the day sprinkle some dry groundbait poloni over the pellets... Do same with special g green liquid and pro natural bream liquid 50)50.
