I would prefer the pruning saw simply for visibility issues. The bright orange would be a big plus in heavy leaf litter or dim lighting.

Thank you so much for sharing this video, great help for my decision with one to buy, “availability and price”.

Great comparison, LBS. My initial hunch was that the pruning saw is placed in a completely different market at a more competitive price than the Laplander. But I went to Amazon to prove my hunch correct... and I was completely wrong. They have both available, and the Laplander is priced about 30% under the pruning saw. Hmmm...

The Tactical Black is what it come down to. For those stealth option and black is always sleek and fast. Win for the Laplander. Only kidding thanks for the video Scout.

I like laplander saw but I prefer silky or fiskarss tooth to me they are much faster cutting and leave a shinier surface; than I find the bahco professional 396 JT with japanese tooth they advertise it's mainly for green wood but even with the dry wood it's the best and leave a mirror like surface one of the best folding saws ever to me! thanks for the video!

I actually have the Corona one on my desk right now. I got it at Lowe's for $20 and although I don't have any to compare it to I will say this thing seems to never dull - works very well!

Great side by side buddy! I've been using a Corona folding pruning saw for years & it's always worked flawlessly.

I own a BUNCH of saws. I don't care who makes them, even if it said Victoria's Secret on it, I would use it as long as it's the best. The Bahco Laplander wins hands down. I have been using it for a long time, still cuts fast, isn't dull, hasn't rusted or broken. It's dang near perfect. It's so nice these days to buy a quality tool at an affordable price that is really good quality and you know you can count on it. Thanks for the video, it was fun!

I can"t find replacement Laplander blades, any idea where to find them?

Both excellent saws. I have the Laplander as it was much cheaper and quite frankly stuck out less.

I picked up a Bahco Professional here in Australia at a large hardware outlet. Handle is all orange so not very tactical ;) Design, lock, blade length all the same as the Laplander. Makes sense that they would mass produce one blade design, so I think other than appearance there is no difference. All do their job very well.

I like this little saw reminds me much of the Wyoming Saw. Real handy on the trail or for big game hunters. Looks like it is a good quality built saw.

Bahco also licenses this design to Kershaw.

I have the corona and though it cuts great it seems unsafe for children and girlfriends; therefor it is going to live as a back up. I am weighing more towards the Bacho over the Silky Picket Boy because of lock ability and dual direction cutting which is better for seasoned wood. Pocket Boy is pull only.
