Even if the Chinese Company owned the whole stake,lekin unke gadiyo mei technologies toh abhi bhi zyadatar British Company ka hi hai. SAIC Motor ne you can say..paisa fund kiya hai,aur they only contributes a bit in the technological sector.

We were considering Gloster over Hycross before ( our main criteria was vomfort and good road presence) but then digging deeper I gound out MG comes under SAIC (Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation) which is a State owned Chinese Corporation. That was the final nail in the coffin for Gloster for us. No matter how good it may be, if it is something from China and the Chinese Government at that, our family does not want it. Otherwise, great car all in all.
