I so wanted them to have a happy ending after these traumatic events - they deserved it ... but as you can see, the author of the film script did not want to give us this beautiful moment and ended this drama in no way - any way!! For me, this is not a happy ending, because the plot shows that he disappeared forever with body and soul, and she was left alone with her daughter ... 🤧😪I read that in the original script it is different and it ends well for all three, because Tantai is reborn and meet mortals and get married and live peacefully and that's how it should have ended in the movie!!! ❤

it was an open ending tho, in the end a part of his conciousness is in the heart-guarding scale which opens all possibilities. I've read the novel too, Susu looked for him for a thousand years, found him got married and they go home to the demon realm with their daughter A Mi.
