Yeah it does, I've been in an antique shop and seen similar tuning on an old solid state radio. I really like it it's just that modern digital lock on tuning annoys me but that's in everything now.

I just went outside away from all electronics and it picks up extremely well on shortwave, the only improvement would be a clip on wire spool antenna otherwise it's pretty much a world band radio if you ignore the lock on tuning.

Now the following step should be open the radio and see the inside, just to see if it is a true analog or a DSP radio in disguise. By the way, it is suspiciously similar to the PANASONIC RF-562D.

I could make a video showing the internals for giggles if nothing else, I don't think it's true analog but the sensitivity is pretty amazing outdoors.
