I'm not sure about it. But in any case it will be more than 5000 rounds. POFX is a full frame pistol, while this is a compact pistol. 10,000 rounds barrel life is a big number which hardly anyone will be able to fire.

Walekum as Salam. Thank you for the nice words. My carry pistol since last nine years is Makarov. Baikal MP442 is an excellent weapon. Battle proven performance, reliable, accurate, compact and simple. Cheap ammo. It's a class. That's all I can say. 😀

Sir, considering recent price decline of imported stuff, do you still consider 442 for 100K value for money? You said its 'bshtareen' value for money, but what price should be good for this NIB? I have been quoted 100k NIB, and for 90K used... These are asking prices, hopefully prices will be more less once one visit the shop personally... In Sha Allah I have all metal and full frame piece, but intend to get one for carry purposes, so do you advise 442 in contrast to all new offerings like HS9, ST9, G3c, Th9c, Tp9c etc...? Also, although anmo is cheap at the moment, but isn't there chance of vanishing it from market or becoming scarce with passage of time like few years or so, due to less demand etc...? I mean, kahin ya na ho kay pistol to achi ha but ammo na milay ya out of reach ho jaey🙂 Lastly, is HP ammo available for 442? Kind regards and plz do reply. Thanks

442 offers many advantages, reliable, concealable, safety /Decocker, reasonably accurate and cheap ammo. It is all metal. Why don't you get ammo in bulk, even if in stages? I think price is OK because it's not going to come lower than this. The rest of pistols you quoted are modem design and 9x19 mm whereas this is 9x18. And I haven't seen JHP for 9x18 in the market. Good luck

Make some videos on Badar & Brothers stuff. They make excellent clones, and they export to foreign countries as well. I know, you are against Pakistani clones, but gun smithing isn't a rocket science, it doesn't need complicated mathematics or electronic components. I don't know about others, but Daudsons and Badar & Brothers certainly does need a lot of appreciation, considering what they are doing in their thin resources. The current problem is ammo shortage & exuberant prices or self inflated prices of imported ammo. It's unfortunate to see, that pof is enjoying sole monopoly over ammo manufacturing, and they are making huge unjustified profits over inflated sales of ammo.

But they need not be copies and must ensure quality. Gun and ammo making is serious stuff. It should be safe for the user and be reliable. Regards

@@naumanafzal Yes, they are Peshawar based. Their models in production are dependent upon demand from domestic & foreign customers. Last time they had only 7 shot tt, zastava m57, and a tt made to look like Soviet tt (which were entirely hand made, 3 units per week).

@@khattak119 brother most combat would take place at much closer distances like 10 m max. These pistols are made for self defense not target shooting. 50 m is a lot of distance for pistols. Also this is only required by the military. However if you need more distance go for a bigger frame pistol in 9 x19.

@@khattak119 it is at least 5000 rounds. I don't have exact source but few forums say even 10000. And about its comparison with 9x19 well standard 9 mm is more potent. But the Makarov has been used in military conflicts. If you're considering a pistol for self defense I think it's a strong contender.

There's a misnomer when it comes to Makarov 9x18. Here dealers will insist 9x18 as.380. Which is actually 9x17. Although 9x18 is different from 9x19 luger still it's 9 mm ammo. And yes I'm carrying it on my license for the last 10 plus years 😀
