thank you! this was so easy to follow and it took me about 10 minutes to replace my bulb. the hardest part was getting the little plastic rivet things back in. i did that successfully without breaking them.

My car with age has lost those Lil brackets, zip ties hold it together if you lose them. Mine is a 07 and my head light finally went out. Thanks for the vid, gonna install my new bulb soon, but I drive during day time so I don't really need to install right a away. This is a great vehicle to learn on how to fix things, been a great car

Great video. On my RAV4 2006 it is more challenging to change the bulb on the other side. You need to unplug the windshield liquid tank pipe as well.

Had quite a time aligning bulb housing correctly to get it to lock into place. It does have a sweet spot to find.

I just used this video to change my headlight bulb! Yay me! Then I discovered that I'd mistakenly replaced my driver's side high-beam light (which was still working just fine) instead of the passenger side low beam, which is the one that was actually burned out. I'm a mess. LOLOLOL.

Hi there, very helpful video. Could you please clarify for me what "Low Beam" and "High Beam" is. From my guess for normal driving it is the low beam, and high beam is the stronger light (For night driving). If you could reply soonish that'd be great! I was thinking about replacing my bulbs rather soon, than keep squinting and taking my chances haha! I am a new car ownner, thanks a lot Dax, again very helpful for me :)

Yes low beams are for normal driving. But high beams are for only temporary use at night in poorly lit areas while driving. They’re not meant for always on at Night. You’ll blind on coming traffic if you keep them on. Some cars also use high beam at 50%!in the day time for daytime running lights (DRL).

@@DaxM Hi Dax, went to the store and bought lights. TL;DR: I bought wrong ones, so now I have both low beams and high beams haha (I opened the package without checking, on the good side I have spares now). Also that is what I we do here! Just didn't mention it. We do use high beams when it is appropriate, and turn them off to not blind others! Thank you for replying. The lights are working now, and it is safer to drive now.

You are showing the incorrect bulb for a 2008 Rav4. This vehicle requires a 9005 bulb and NOT a 9006. Discovered this after taking everything apart.
