It's a rare performance since they premiered that song in 2013, 17 years after recording it. (It's too bad, Cornell's voice seems tired and on the verge of blowing up for good. I don't know why Ben Shepherd never did backing vocals, I know Cameron used to but drumming while singing is really taxing energy wise, poor Chris had to make up for all those mind-blowing harmonies on the album all by himself). The rendition featuring Mike McCready is better because Cornell is much more focused on singing and McCready is on fire. One of the most underrated Soundgarden. "Sleep tight for me...I'm gone". This line has been haunting me since May 17th. RIP MR Christopher John Boyle Cornell.

Most of this is pretty spot on. It's only the very high intensity stuff he struggled with. I'd much rather hear this with a bit of a struggle than not at all. PS. I managed to catch the last performance of this song and the only time they ever played it out of the USA - lucky in the extreme. Chris will be much, much, MUCH missed. RIP

If you noticed, the sound person had only just thrown some reverb/echo on Chris' vocals when Ben looked irritated. Figure he was pissed they didn't have Chris' vocals right from the beginning, and Chris was kinda struggling, especially with the parts where he's basically screaming his vocals. Verb/echo can help give a bit more sustain for a singer to use to smooth out their vocals some. but that's just a guess about Ben. I know one or two people that know those dudes and I've heard stories about Ben being a pretty moody dude, but he's a musician, so it comes with the territory.

Chris loved playing his guitar while singing on his solo tours. Also, Chris was much younger when they wrote this song so I’m sure it ain’t so easy to do when you’re looking at 50. I actually love the way his voice matured. It was seasoned and spoke to my soul. If you knew my story of how I discovered Chris you would know who gets mystified. Thank you Chris. For everything. ❤
