I really liked that you emphasized that having dogs takes hard work and care. I think it’s important that people who are thinking of getting a dog/puppy know that there is time, money, and energy that needs to be dedicated to these sweet animals.

Thank you for being real and talking about the tough parts of owning dogs. You are great at what you do and I have a lot of respect for you after watching your videos! I got my first dog in the summer and no matter how much I prepared for him to come, I still wasn’t 100% aware of how much of a social life I wouldn’t have along with everything else is takes to raise a dog of your own. I still wouldn’t trade it for the world. Props to you and continue to showcase your hard work through these videos!

LOVED this video!! I really love the vlog style videos cause they feel a lot more authentic and raw. I would also love to see a video of you talking about the finances of breeding and owning 6 dogs. Whether it’s just a portion of a video or a whole video, I would love to see that. I’m planning on breeding in the next 2 years, but wanna make sure I’m fully financially prepared for it and I don’t truly know what to expect in that department haha. Thank you so much for your videos! I love love love your channel and all your sweet pups 💕💕

I love this style of video. I didn’t realize it was 50 minutes long until I checked at the end when you said it’s probably going to be a long vlog. I owned a lot of animals when I was younger (I’m now 19) and have bred bunnies before, and seeing the reality of how much work it takes is definitely important for people who want to take breeding up as a career choice. I appreciate you being so authentic with everyone. Thank you for putting so much effort and work into what you do while also having a KZbin channel and editing etc. You’re amazing!

I think and I see you do a fantastic job! 💗 You are a representation of what a great breeder does/should do and I appreciate that. I still believe adopting from a shelter should be everyone’s #1 option, and in case you have a “dream dog” in mind or maybe you want a very young puppy to get that experience, it’s breeders like you that I’d go to. I also love videos like this one because you do see all the work owning a dog, or multiple dogs, requires! I do not believe you have to give up a social life when you own a dog (or dogs) but I do believe in the importance of training to have excellent behaved dogs that you can then take to most of the places you used to frequent before getting a dog, or explore new ones that are dog-friendly! I have gone on hikes and restaurants with a friend of mine who owns two Dobermans and two golden doodles and I swear, you can’t tell they are there half of the time because they are so well trained, specially the Dobermans! They are so smart and so incredible. They actually inspired me to getting one.

I loved this type video! I enjoy when breeders show the reality and the learning aspect because when people only show the “good” parts or their knowledge after years of breeding it feels like it’s not helping others who may join the breeding community!

Bailey, you are amazing! Thank you for emphasizing the real/raw reality of what you’re doing! Like you said, I think it’s easy for people to only get caught up in the glamour of something and forget about all the grit that goes into doing something right/being successful at anything in life! One of my doodles had loose stools multiple days in a row last week and she and her crate would be a mess when I got home and I literally wanted to cry after cleaning all of that up multiple days in a row. Actually would almost not want to walk in the door at times because I knew what I was probably walking into. But then she would just lay her head on my lap like she was saying ‘thanks for taking care of me’ and then all was okay again! So I feel you! It’s really hard sometimes! But also wouldn’t trade my doodles for anything! Love the vlogs and voiceovers, depending on the content! I think you do a good job of choosing which is appropriate at the time, so keep up the good work ☺️. Also…. I can only imagine that vlogging/editing all of this on top of what you’re already doing is a lot! So, thank you for doing everything you do! You have so many people that love to see your content! ❤️

@Cindy L Unfortunately, some breeders do only breed for money. there are these places called puppy mills where terrible people breed thousands of dogs in horrific conditions and sell the puppies online. but there are also many amazing breeders, like Bailey, who actually care about the puppies, and want to give them great life. you might think that because some breeders charge so much, its because they just want the money, but in most cases it because they want someone who will pay a lot of money and who will provide a good home to adopt these puppies. someone who will pay $3000 or more for a puppy is gonna love it. breeding is ok because there isn't anything wrong or harmful to the dogs who are being bred correctly. it is a wonderful thing to bring healthy, well cared for puppies into the world, and thats why breeding is ok in some situations.
@BhappyD
@BhappyD 2 жыл бұрын
@@karisbumgardner52 Breeding more dogs only results in other dogs being put down. There are enough dogs that already exist who need and deserve a home. They are overpopulated, and it’s wrong to purposefully bring more into the world for people to buy for thousands of dollars knowing this. Even if a breeder does things properly and cares about their dog’s wellbeing, they only continue to make to overall problem worse. There is absolutely nothing with shelter dogs. I’ve had two, and both were the most loving and well behaved dogs you’ll ever meet, who lived full, happy and fulfilled lives. They may not have been “pure”, but there is no reason why that should matter to the average person. The ONLY scenario where breeding is somewhat understandable is for working dogs, such as service dogs for example. It’s more understandable to breed a dog best fit for certain working tasks, but for the average person who’s just looking for a companion or family dog, there’s no need for a pure bred, and there’s countless incredible shelter dogs ready and waiting to be adopted. Again, the breeder can be a good person who cares for their dogs and does things properly, but it doesn’t change the fact that a dog bought from a breeder is killing a dog in a shelter who is just as deserving of a home. So while a “properly” bred dog may not have something wrong or harmful done to them, that doesn’t mean that other innocent dogs don’t suffer the consequences. That said, it’s also worth mentioning that dogs who are not spayed or neutered live a shorter life with a higher risk of health problems compared to dogs who are spayed or neutered. At the end of the day, breeding dogs, along with buying dogs from a breeder, is extremely harmful and not at all ok in the vast majority of cases. And no, someone who pays $3,000 for a dog is not guaranteed to love it more or care for it more than someone who buys a dog from a shelter. That’s an incredibly harmful fallacy, and not at all grounded in truth. Anyone charging $3,000 for a dog is doing so to make money and it is for the breeders benefit, nothing more. Additionally, people buying $3,000 dogs are doing so for aesthetic reasons. Pure bred dogs are not guaranteed to be healthier or live a longer life, quite the contrary as they actually have a higher risk of health problems than dogs of mixed breeds found in shelters, so that’s not the reason people are buying purebreds. Purebred dogs also don’t have any guarantee of what personality/temperament they have compared to shelter dogs, so that’s not it either. People are choosing to buy purebreds because they think they look cute, and fits their aesthetic, rarely anything more. The thing is, dogs are living beings, who require a lot of care and attention, and aren’t a designer handbag. Yet, when people buy purebreds for outlandish amounts of money all because they think they are cute, it’s a recipe for disaster. This then leads to animal abandonment once the cuteness wares off and things get hard. Nearly all of the dogs around me locally that are getting abandoned or “re-homed” on a daily basis are almost all purebreds, so that $3,000 price to “ensure a good home” means nothing when it actually comes to reality. That’s not to say that there aren’t many people who unconditionally love their purebred dogs, and that’s not at all what I want to imply. Just that when most are buying an extremely expensive purebred dog for aesthetic reasons, it’s more likely that once the cuteness wares off and things become difficult that the dog no longer holds the same worth for them and is easier to abandon. Verses someone buying a shelter/rescue dog who isn’t getting a dog because of what the dog looks like and is instead focused on finding a dog regardless of appearance to share a mutual companionship with, being less easily swayed when appearances fade and things get difficult/become hard work, because appearance wasn’t a priority in the first place. I genuinely don’t want this comment to come off as an attack, it’s just something I can’t help but be passionate about, because I deeply care about the perfectly good animals who are being put down on a daily basis simply because someone wants their dog to be “pure” and aesthetic. ALL dogs deserve good lives, so why purposefully bring more dogs into this world when doing so means that for every purebred dog purchased, a perfectly good dog in a shelter gets killed and is stripped of their ability to have a loving home. That doesn’t need to happen, but it will continue to so long as breeders continue to breed more dogs for profit, regardless of if they are breeding their dogs “properly” or not. Shelter dogs are affordable, more likely to have good health and often live longer vs purebreds, and are also just as loving and incredible as any other dog. They exist in abundance, yet are still passed up all because people want a dog that looks a certain way or has “official” papers. It will never make sense to me, and I will never support it. Again, I know that there are many purebred owners who do genuinely love their dogs wholeheartedly, and also breeders who genuinely love their dogs and take care of them properly (as it appears this content creator does), and I’m not trying to insinuate that anyone partaking in the buying or selling of purebred dogs is automatically a horrible person, but it still doesn’t change the fact that the purebred industry as a whole is extremely harmful, unnecessary, and leads to the continued overpopulation and deaths of innocent dogs who may not have “pure” blood, but are just as deserving of love and a family.

I really like both kinds of video and I really like the reality check stuff as well as the lovely bits like puppy cuddles etc. My opinion (not that you asked for it 😂) is that we need to see the good and the bad and also as someone who has had two dogs from breeders who turned out to be irresponsible and not actually deserve the title, it helps to see what a responsible breeder actually is so we don’t get caught out again in the future. As someone who just loves dogs thank you for showing a better side of breeding and taking a responsible and caring way towards the role. Hats off to ya gal!

What is the most important thing to keep your dog healthy? Of course, it is important to treat your dog when it gets sick, but it is equally important to take care of it and prevent it from getting sick. To do this, we recommend that you communicate with your dog on a daily basis to keep track of his or her health condition, and consult your veterinarian immediately if you notice anything out of the ordinary. For the sake of your beloved dog, strive for early detection and early treatment through frequent checkups and regular checkups at the veterinary clinic.🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶💖💖💖💖💖

You always have to sacrifice something for something else. Like I live in a farm and I am a farmer for a side job type thing (basically like breeding, I do it and make money but %90 of ir goes back to the farm). I can’t go out to dinner with friends from 5-7pm because I have to do night feeding and farm chores. And I don’t go on vacay because I have trust issues when it comes to people taking care of my animals and I always have baby animals on the farm. And so many people are like omg I want to have a farm and be a part time farmer too, you get to hangout and cuddle animals all day long. And it is like NO ITS NOT, do you really want to be a farmer or do you just wanna hangout with cute animals. Constantly there is bulls knocking down the fences, coyotes killing the animals, taking hours making breeding plans and trying to improve my animals health, and there is so much more. Yet I spend a hour a day just milking the cows, don’t get me wrong I love it and I love the go go go lifestyle. But I totally feel the same way that you did during your rant. Just like dogs, even if you don’t wanna be a farmer (or breeder) still owning and taking care of 100s of animals (or dogs) is hard and expensive as heck. That was my rant, thank you.

Hey!!! Love your videos it inspires me so much! I just got a puppy myself and she’s having a hard time potty training. She’s 3 months old and is just not getting it. Do you have any tips?

Stay consistent! 3 months old is still really young! Also make sure you have her on a solid routine! She shouldn’t be allowed to free roam the house and should be taken out every 15-30 minutes when out of the crate! Don’t give up and make sure you are holding yourself accountable! Good luck!

Hi they are so adorable! We are getting a mini golden doodle. What essentials would you recommend for dog urine spray, collar, leash and food? Any tips for first few days of training? Thank you!

Love this video so cool to see how much work it actually is to breed I had an accidental rabbit litter in the summer as my male was meant to be female she had three babies and they lived in a room in my shed with their mam the first few weeks were okay as they were still in there nest box but then when they came out it became harder as the would go to the bathroom ever where and spill there water dish and there poops were tiny and momma we really protective of them at try to bite me and I was doing laundry ever day and went through a bag of food ever other week and I had six rabbits at the time as the three babies the mom the dad and I rescued one too it was so hard and mentally draining for me and then I had to start school again and ye it was really hard and I’m only 12 and I had 6 rabbits to take care of and pay for on my own but I found two babies a home and the mom and the one I rescued and kept one baby and the dad he’s now neutered and the baby is nearly 5 months old if only feels like she was born yesterday I loved the experiences tough as they were so cute but hard to take care of I definitely would be breeding them any time soon I also had a outdoor cat who had kittens in September but she got hit by a car when the kittens were 3 weeks old and I had to bottle feed them and help them go to the toilet it was hard at the start as they looked like her and I was so tired as they had to be feed every 3 hours and stuff it was hard to get them to eat and the start as they weren’t used to being bottle feed I feel so in love with the smallest one who was the only girl out of the three and they were all black like there mam I kept the girl and gave the two boys to a girl I know but sadly Anna is what I called her got meningitis and had a seizure in the vets and died I was heartbroken 💔 the next day I went for a walk and I found a black kitten it was bigger than Anna and I feel un love with her I named her adela I still miss Anna so much but I’m excited for adelas first Christmas

I totally agreed that even having a dog isn't for everyone let alone breeding! It's A LOT of work! Girl...you need a steam cleaner for the dog room. Save you time and is so much easier.

Hey Bailey question, do you ever get nervous when you let the dogs out early in the morning or late in the evening that a wild animal might be in your yard to attack any of your dogs. Thank you for sharing🙏🌹❤️🦋

Hey Bailey hope you can help me out. My girl had her babies about 6 months ago. They are with their forever homes now. Our other girl recently had her babies and my girl who had the babies a few months ago thinks they are hers and has gone crazy trying to get to them. We have them separated and she goes crazy trying to get to them. I can’t find anything online about it. Any idea why this is happening?

Hello Bailey. I think that you are doing a wonderful job looking after all of your beautiful dogs 🐩 I have a labradoodle and did not have her spayed because I would like to breed her. Yes, dogs are a lot of work. I have a serious chronic illness but I feel like I really need to let my beautiful girl have a litter. I know it is very hard work so thank you for letting us all know the reality. Can I please ask you, how do you find people who want to buy a puppy? I live in Australia and find that there isn’t much information here to help you learn about dog breeding.

I only have 1 dog and 3 kids! I’ll admit having 1 dog (cocker spaniel) and he’s a handful he’s older but more gentle with my kids and we literally take him everywhere we go. He’s definitely our 4th baby! We love him to death! We’ve always talked about getting another dog but I’m like maybe will wait hahaha! But I really love your videos and what you do it’s so amazing your awesome 🤩 keep doing you!!! 💕☺️🐶 Happy Holidays to you and your dogs and puppies!!!! 🎄🎉💕
