I freeze the cheese. This makes the cheese very easy to grate finely.

Made some of this yesterday, roped in my daughter to help. Left her to it for a few mins FML what a mess but she enjoyed it. Never fished with Cheese paste before but had a couple of hours today and managed 4 nice fish. Thanks for the vid that will last me for ages.

OMG. What a amazing bait. I've made it yesterday and went to try on my local river. Chub was biting like crazy. All other guys only could watch and shake their heads. Didn't add a blue cheese powder as I'm waiting to be delivered. Thank you for thar recipe and waiting for more.

Thanks for the advice! We have just uploaded our most recent video all about 'chasing chub' and catching some surprises along the way. You'll see in the video that your tips went a long way to improving my fishing! Thanks again

Thanks for the video Rich. Been down to Morrisons and got the stuff to make the paste. I am waiting for my other half to go shopping tomorrow so i can make the paste no matter what stink i make in her kitchen. Off to the Wye at Hay on tuesday hoping for tight lines.

Brilliant cheesepaste! Ive been trying out different recepies but this one did the trick! I have 6 chubs over 6lbs so far this season with one just under 7lb as the biggest. Great result!

@@rich-all-round-angler919 You must have an understanding other half, many years ago when l was catfishing l started making up a paste bait in the kitchen with some really nasty ingredients when half way through the girlfriend came home, walked into the kitchen and absolutely blew a gasket, had to carry on in my shed!! the smell lingered in the kitchen for several days!!!!!

Yes I was surprised as well. This quality I'd expect from a good carp angler, not an allrounder.

Works really well with mashed raw prawns added but just add them as you go to the bits you pull off for the hook so they don’t rot in your main lump.

Cheers Rich enjoyed that. Used to make cheese paste years ago when I used to fish a small river. Very similar from memory but used puff pastry and red food colouring. Getting back out in the rivers after many years of not fishing them. Based in North Devon so suggests got to travel. I'll make a batch of this up airways loved making my own baits, flies etc cheers Jon

I tend to use blue Stilton or Danish blue. If you can acquire enough of them to make a paste, the strong Italian cheeses Forsginia and Bellendia also work quite well.

If you was to add some semolina and soya to the mix would u be able to boil them to make hard hookbait
@felgate112 ай бұрын
You should try Kraft cheese slices rolled into a big ball, not the cheap slices as they are too soft & gooey. Break a piece off and mould it round a size 6 or 8 hook in the shape of an Arlsey bomb. It keeps for ages just wrapped in clingfilm & the smell improves with age.

I know this is two year old now Rich. But anyway. I was just looking around YT to see what's what regarding cheese paste....and I see absolutely no difference in how you make yours and mine...SO! I'm doing something right!. I made a massive batch at start of lockdown...nothing else to do. My batch was at least 10 times bigger than yours, it'll probably outlive me. What I did though each time during the colder months and using it. was take another bag out and just kept it with me for the session and re kneaded and re- kneaded it whilst added some (cheesey garlic flavouring... not a lot, just a dash)whilst in it's bag during the quieter moments for something to do....bit like those finger spinners ! Anyway.. end of session...refroze it again....took it out again on the next session...and done it all again. After a couple of years, i've done the same to all the other stored balls in the freezer. I now have an incredible paste which is as so soft and hook happy... I cant believe it....although I've now added a couple of other things to it to make it so. I'll give ita bash over the next couple of months.. if it works...I'll let you know.
