I am from Malaysia and we normally use the Thai coil feeder to do our coarse fishing. However, we have a group of people who tried to bring European-style of coarse fishing into the country. They managed to establish an association registered under the government. I have joined them and has been practising using a feeder rod, method feeders and hair rigs to fish the local pond for about 6 months. It worked very well with the local species. This video is very eye-opening.

I don't know if many anglers know but carp don't actually eat the skin of sweetcorn or eat expanders. It's absolutely true. You wouldn't believe it especially with the amount of especially sweetcorn used in the commercial matches I fish. I didn't believe this untill I was shown. Expander pellet just gets gilled out so those who do feed a good amount in matches might be hindering their catch ratio! 👍

Great video. I've always thought it was useless to stick the hook into the method feeder as I thought the feeder wouldn't always land straight up.

lol. e didn't want to let that boilie go. I think had the rig had a proper hook on they would have been hooked sooner. This gives great insight into what us going in. BTW I want that tank set up. great video guys, can we have more of them with different baits?

Great infovideo. Yes, you actually do want feed washing up from the bottom. if you use a hookbait that is, wafting, this is important. Usually results in the bigger fish too as it stands out as a feed item. on a few of the waters i fish anyway.

There is not a lot of natural food in a fish tank so as soon as food is introduced the fish will home in on it. Same as when you feed fish in a tank at home. Not a fair test really.

As another says, you really need to do the same test, but with fish who have experienced these baits and practices. The presenter says look how they home straight in on the boilee, well they don't. From my perception, they are more interested in the particles at first, with the boilee being an oddity that they will explore when the particles have dispersed more.
