Baited Lobster trap in action

View activity live action from a freshly baited lobster trap set in cape cod bay on sandy bottom. All action takes place within two hours of the trap being set and you can see how quickly the bait starts attracting life on the bottom. The camera view is external so looking away from the trap you can see lobsters being drawn in.
See crabs, lobsters, sea robbins, sea pearch and striped bass curiously check out the activity around the trap. Highlighted by a large striped bass preforming a drive by to check out the life around the trap.

These creatures are not understood or appreciated. I keep a 1.5lb male as a pet, and his awareness, behavior, manipulation of his environment and his precision have me dropping my jaw. He is as clean as a cat and smarter than a dog...and his claws are as good as hands. Despite his mood toggling between anger and fury, I love these guys!
