Fr, we always shrink wolves in our minds when we see footage of them, but when you see a wolf next to a human, you realize how off you are. Then you go up from there and realize how small wolves look next to moose. Size really is relative.

@@Finppa Dogs have a fair amount of fat and muscle around their necks, mostly just because they don't need the neck to be super long and bendy, so they might as well protect it, given that neck injuries are incredibly dangerous for pretty much every animal. But also those are in fact gentle play bites, play evolved in wolves and dogs as essentially practice fighting, the main distinction is how hard they bite.

As the other commentor says, he did raise kaine completely from birth, essentially. They imprinted incredibly early on. Much like dogs with their pack, the only time kaine gets truly aggressive is in defense, like say for an injury or illness.

Never owned a wolf or wolfdog, not an expert, but right off the bat I can tell you that you probably shouldn't bring a wolfdog into an apartment building. It wouldn't be good for you, the animal, or your neighbors. A lot of people who own wolfdogs do so in rural areas, on properties with room for well-made enclosures if the wolfdog doesn't take well to primarily living inside. These animals are well-known for their escape attempts and have a tendency to be afraid of unfamiliar humans. If you wanted to own one, my advice (as a nonexpert) would be to look into the best path towards education on the care of wolfdogs. Don't just rely on your own research, find a program or some kind of organized educational resource that'll actually teach and vet you. Meet people and organizations who take care of these animals, preferably in person. Based on everything I've ever read, it's a serious commitment on the same level as learning to take care of foxes, bats, or other exotic animals.
