Heading out next weekend to Rayburn. This will be my first time ever out there, pretty excited

@@dustrankSHNF heck yeah that’s awesome! The last two weekends my dad and I caught them really good. We found them in the very backs of the creeks and schooling on the main lake. We fished from mill creek to farmers to buck bay. Good luck! Let me know how you do.

Excellent tips. Will definitely use this info for my first Trip out to Rayburn this October.

Good deal! October is so fun to fish! You can catch them shallow and deep. Hopefully we’ll have some cooler weather move in soon and kick off the fall bite.

Very helpful video, I’ve fished in high school tournaments on Rayburn the last 4 years and have done pretty well I think. Some of these baits I have definitely forgot about. Just fished the V&M tournament this past weekend with my dad and talked to multiple people saying they had to cast as far under the trees as you could to get some of there fish and most were on frogs!
@lanceduff3 жыл бұрын
That’s exactly why I make these. It’s all for you guys. I get so tired of lying locals and pro-staff guys I keep it 100% transparent. Nice! That frog is an amazing bait right now and it will definitely catch you some big bass! That’s how a lot of big bass are caught right now. I wanted to fish the V&M tournament but between work, moving and my infant I’ve had zero free time.

Hi Lance- love the videos and always watch the lure suggestions- just curious on 3 questions. 1. What part of the lake do you typically fish? We just bought a house on Rayburn and I always launch out of Powell. 2. Do you guide? 3. Maybe I’m overlooking them but do you have any “lesson” videos on fishing Rayburn? I know you are successful on the lake and I have not had much success yet.

Hey! Thanks I appreciate it. Sure I got ya covered 1 in general I fish from mill creek to the deer stand. When I’m in tournaments 70% of the time I’m from 5 fingers to the bridge. The other 30% depends on the lake level and conditions. 2 I use to but just not enough free time to do it between work, side business, family and sponsor obligations. Every once in a blue moon I can have time to do it. 3 I don’t have any of those but maybe that’s something I can start doing in the future after I move this week. What would you like to see in videos like that?
@kyleheine3 жыл бұрын
@@lanceduff thanks for the reply- I’d really enjoy learning more on where/when you’re throwing these baits. Rayburn can be tough and you’ve definitely got a lot of knowledge. I’ve watched your videos that show you tearing them up and it would be very insightful to hear what are the conditions i.e.water temp, structure you’re fishing (drain, point, secondary point, etc), time of year, etc. I’m not a tournament guy, but fishing is my passion like a lot of others and it would be awesome if you did videos on where you found success. Basically like your own fishing report video what the bass are doing, what they’re pattern seems to be, which you could relate back to the “Lures to Throw” videos.

What size whopper plopper do you suggest? Is that the 4 3/8" 1oz? Or the 5" 1 3/8oz?
@lanceduff2 жыл бұрын
I like that middle size one the best. For me it catches more of the 3lb + bass consistently. That big one doesn’t seem to do all that well and the smaller one does catch a lot but typically they’re smaller

Lance, What brand white swim jig is that?
@lanceduff5 ай бұрын
@@robertlane370 the ones in the video was made by a company called Bass Assault but they’re no more. Two brands to choose on the swim jig now is strike king and santone makes a good one. I prefer the strike king over the santone but both are good options for swim jigs.

Hey Lance, thanks for the video. I was wondering if you ever fish the Neches down around Beaumont? I haven't been able to find the fish at all since the summer. Do you have any tips on where to look this time of year?
@lanceduff3 жыл бұрын
Hey bud! Anytime! I use to fish it a lot but it’s got tough since all of the big tournaments have came to the area. Many of the bass that lived in the neches have got taken to the sabine for weigh ins and they won’t swim through saltwater to come back. My favorite two places on the neches is 10 mile creek and the other creek just north of it that leads in to lake bayou. That’s where I’ve done my best. Flip every cypress tree with some kind of creature bait and crash a spinnerbait in to those cypress roots. That’s exactly what my teammate and I did to win a boat over there in 2016. Let me know how you do. Good luck.

Lance are you having trouble finding Zoom worms?
@lanceduff3 жыл бұрын
Sometimes yes. Academy has been the best place where I’ve found them consistently. I know earlier this year it was real slim pickings everywhere. A few of my fishing buddies had told me that zoom had one of their factories catch on fire this year.

Hey bud! Absolutely. I just cut it before this hurricane so in two or three weeks it will need it again soon. And... We are actually moving. I bought a house a little close to sabine lake and Taylor’s bayou. I’ve gotta get a few more ditch fishing videos in before I move.

@@lanceduff Oh, Sabine? You going to live in Bridge City? Good for you! I would like to help yall pack if thats ok with you. I have a lot of experience packing for houses. I mean, like moving boxes in and out. Ok, you want it done today? This is Luke btw. :)

@@TheBoysmemes. we’ll be over towards the Hamshire area. But won’t be far from Sabine or Bridge City! I was hoping to find a place on cow bayou but it didn’t work out that way 😂 Man if You would have asked last week I would have totally took you up on it!!! We got 90% of our stuff moved last weekend. You never realize how much stuff you own until you move 😂😂😂😂
