Blistering speed and edge of your seat racing on this gravel eating baja buggy bonanza! The rev counter is stuck at 13,000 and the petrol fumes could light the olympic torch in Athens. Sock gave the AI crew a run for their money and took the podium! Great video Daz, will definitely pick this one up. I was briefly addicted to Motorstorn back in the naughties.

Really like these buggy racing games like Buggy Heat on DC or Excite Truck on Wii. Never played this one but looks like a lot of fun. This one's apparently also on PS4.

The first Motorstorm game wasn't post-apocalyptic. I believe the racing series originated with the idea that it is an outlaw-hippie kind of race. It allows the mixing of different vehicles (bike, truck, buggy, etc.; however, certain types or mixes of types are restricted per level. Sometimes it allows all types though. It also has a turbo meter that can overheat, but there are ways of cooling it such as going through water. I haven't played the later games, so I don't know where they went after that. I believe I own Motorstorm Apocalypse which is post-apocalyptic, set in ruins of cities filled with fallen skyscrapers and nature taken back these cityscapes. There's also another set in arctic regions.

@@Segasocks It was a PSP game at first, but was ported to PS2. I think there was a time in the PSP lifecyle when Sony introduced some tools to make porting easier as there were a bunch of other PSP games that made the jump. I'll pick it up, if I come across it. I still haven't found my PS3 Motorstorm Apocalypse. My place has gone through a lot of changes and I still have sorted everything out. I might not even own it :) I thought it looked cool from my recollection. I wasn't that much a fan of the first game, but I bought it at a time when there weren't many PS3 games.

Looks a decent one matey although very unforgiving at times lol. Not one I've got in the collection yet so I'll have to keep an eye out for it 😎👍

i played its remaster on pc about a year or 2 ago, and thankfully it still supports 4:3 there! (although it's a 1024x768 minimum, but that's not a big issue to me)

@@Segasocks indeed i do! it does, although i always set the graphics to lowest as possible in pc games, and i recall that you can do a bit of that for the remaster, but oddly only via the launcher that appears before you start the game (sam with resolution too).

Watching this on a phone with they quality of capture,this could pass as a xbox series game. Looks great But does it work in 4:3?

It looks a little blurry on a big screen but still pretty remarkable for an upscale from 480i! This one does support 4:3! 😊
