Pricey, but fantastic tool that saves a ton of frustration. You'll be glad you got it the first time you use it.

Man, I just changed my first set of tires on my KLR a couple weeks ago with spoons. I pinched three tubes in the process. Was so over it. I wish I had this! Definitely picking one up.

These are super cool. I've used friends TMT changers (they must license this), but just saw these for the first time yesterday. All my bikes have black wheels these days and I do a lot of changes due to the rocks around here chewing up tires. I probably need one of these. Get out of that Canadian cold and come visit Hawaii. I've got a 690 you can put around 🤙

very nice video heddle thanks for uploading and sharing some knowledge with us subscribers and watchers. I put baby powder inside the tire it helps greatly to avoid punching the tube but I switch the tires out old school with just spoon set. I like the tool you have I am going to look into it.

Guys, Adam Riemann uses grease to lube the tube before putting it inside the tire. I regularly do it like that as well. No pinch flats. One reinforced tube in front, two (one inside the other) at the back. That tool is a must have! But it only works to put the tire back, right? Still, a great tool.
@HeddleTown7 жыл бұрын
Yes its an awesome tool and no it doesn't help to remove just install! :) Thx

Good luck with this on a back tire works great until the end then just destroys the bead, works fine for fronts, but I can do fronts with spoons

Before you roll on the second side of the tire I always inflate the tube and let it get centered and wrinkle free - then let the air out of the tube - then mount the second side of the tire. A motorcycle dealer did not do that and the tube was wrinkled inside the tire - about 100 miles later the tire went flat - I dismounted and found the wrinkled folded tube that had squirmed around and rubbed against itself - got hot and failed.
@HeddleTown7 жыл бұрын
Good idea I have heard of that I do use TUbliss in some of my bikes so no tube to deal with! :)

Thanks for the video! I’m thinking on pulling the trigger on one of these…how is the tool holding up over time? I’ve heard people say the teeth have a tendency to strip out. Also, I see you mentioned it doesn’t damage the rim…have you had any mishaps that gouged the rim by accident? I just picked up a new Beta with black rims and I’m dreading messing them up with my first tire change. This looks to make it pretty easy. Thanks!
@HeddleTown Жыл бұрын
It works really good you can sort of adjust the gear (teeth) tension lots of people probably leave it too loose!

It is cool, but it takes the black magic mystery out of my secret tire mounting skills! If you know the tricks it's pretty easy to mount or dismount a motorcycle tire with just 2 cheap tire irons.

Thanks! That tube saddle looks interesting I don't see a use for me most flats I have ever saw come from rocks and obstacles etc through the tire! Would be just as easy to use a second tube to double strength one inside the other!

Yup it will work I have a few bikes with TUbliss I cant see any issues in fact it should be easier with no tube to deal with! With TUbliss you install the rim inside the tire than bead it up from opposite sides so should work very well!! :)
