Bought 220 cruise Auburn Black in July this year. Clocked more than 2000 kms without hassle, both on highway long drives and in the city traffic. It's the most affordable and the most comfortable bike in the segment. I travelled to Dehradun from Delhi and returned and after 9-10 hrs. driving it felt that I drove only 4-5 hours. I am extracting 44-45 kmpl which is pretty decent I think. Only cons, no disc brakes in rear and no tubeless tyres. Rest are fantastic.

U can buy bajaj avenger alloy wheels and get them fixed at any shop and convert it to tubeless. I did that recently to my 8 Yr old avenger cruise and it cost me 13k overall including parts n service.

For the record, it was not developed by Bajaj but Kawasaki and it was called the eliminator. When they replaced the kawasaki's engine with the pulsar's engine that is when it was renamed to the avenger in 2005.

I have Avenger 150 Street. It's good for city driving but not so much for the highways. I think Bajaj should plan a 250cc twin-cylinder for cruisers. Or RE should reduce the height and weight of their bikes... Since both are not going to happen anytime soon, I am waiting for the Suzuki 300cc twin-cylinder. Waise tho even the upcoming TVS Zeppelin looks very modern and exciting ;)

I bought it for 98K approximately on road through CSD. Otherwise it would have cost me 1.22 lac on road. Review : I'm satisfied but not highly satisfied. It's better than commuter bikes. First gear pick up is best in class and runs very good in 5th gear but other gear's pick up is just OK. Milage is 46kmpl till now. Balancing on highway and breaking is Best I think. I use front brake mostly and rear brake sometimes. Rear seat comfort is not good. Handle bar posture and position is not up to my expectations. Turning radius is an issue definitely. It's Not suitable for small Galies or streets. This bike is meant for highway or long drives, not good for local drives. Overall Street 220 would have better option if available in BS6 and allow your budget. I don't like cruise 220 because it's windshield gets yellow in 3 to 4 years which looks not good. And it doesn't have tubeless tyres. So Street 160 is not bad but OK in this price range. It's a first bike in my area so people turns to have a look on my bike while I ride. Everyone likes it's looks and say that it looks better than Bullet 😀 I'll suggest you to have a test drive for 5 to 10 km before you decide to Street 160 or Cruise 220.

WHAT !! HYBRID ENGINE ? Mixed with two engine . One from 4 valve , oil cooled NS 160 'S ENGINE & One from PULSAR 180 ENGINE . How it possible ? You don't know about that engine . It is based on PULSAR 150 's engine , just rebored . Also AVENGER 220 CRUISE don't have NEGATIVE DISPLAY like DOMINAR has .
