@@sg4360 It's actually not a NV. It's was just a LML Vespa 150 of 91, but after the wiring changes and with the NV badging it's actually a LML Vespa NV 150 now.

My dad had a a Bajaj Chetak.. 1996 model. He gave it to one of his far friend in 2010 .. I learnt gear vehicle from this scooter.. we have changed some 3 vehicles from then.. never experienced tat crazy pickup and 2 stroke flying feel in any other vehicle.. I miss this scooter...

This scooter was a beast. Unbelievable power back then, hit 80+ easily, still probably faster than the best scooters now. That hand shifter on both the Chetak and it's little brother (The Cub) had such a satisfying clunk when it fell into gear. It was heavy, the brakes though were weak compared to anything now, but man, I miss my dad's scooters.

Those days when my dad's 2 stroke scooter had a small seat in front just for me only.. Cool Breeze, Always checking Speedometer for speed, pressing horn switch,Getting the feel of road like a movie, checking beautiful sceneries and get mesmerized.. My father still owns a 1999 Bajaj bravo. It is the most advanced geared 2stroke scooter Bajaj has ever made. It's over 20 yrs old now and has done almost 20k km. But hey,Who cares. It's still running like new. I have learnt ridding on this scooter which is indeed older than me. Today,150cc bikes might have more power and speed,but no 4stroke engine can even come closer to the initial punch and low end torque of 2stroke engines..... I love my dad's scooter and ride it still now and have a thought to restore it very soon.

I don't think it's the original one. Because we have one in our family, which is a 2 stroke one. It still goes to 70 kmph easily. And it is still in a lot better condition than this one and still gives around 50 kmpl.

These were imported into the USA up until around 2006 or 2007. I think Bajaj determined that they missed the mark a little with these. After Bajaj spent untold amounts investing in a compliant 4T scooter engine, motorcycles sales jump exponentially over scooters. That and the fuel economy missed the mark a little and the gas tank was a little too small to be practical. The USA export version had electric start. The motor is rock solid. On the whole, a great vehicle.
