Mahindra MOJO XT 300 Highlights
13 March 2018: Dynamically impressive and evidently muscular, Mojo XT300 was presented as an entry-level tourer by Mahindra in the 300 cc bike section. Showcased back then in 2010 the bike was able to earn itself a great fan following, which however faded a little with its delayed launch that was finally successful in 2015. The bike is designed to represent the robust spirit of Mahindra two-wheelers along with displaying the stylish and sporty appeal of a dynamic tourer. Mahindra Mojo XT300 gets a distinguished front look owing to its twin-pod headlamp unit and golden painted upside down suspension forks. The evident wind reflectors and the chiselled fuel tank of the bike further display sportiness. Injecting power into the heart of the tourer is a 300 cc liquid-cooled EFI engine producing a peak power of 27 PS and a torque of 30 Nm. The bike sports a 6-speed power transmission unit. Mahindra Mojo XT300 offers great braking performance owing to its 320 mm front and 240 mm rear disc brakes. The tourer has upside down forks at the front and gas charged monoshock suspension at the rear end. The bike is priced at Rs 2 Lakh (On road, Delhi) and competes against the likes of Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 and Bajaj Dominar 400.
Bajaj Dominar 400 Latest Updates
Bajaj has hiked the prices of the Dominar 400 again. The flagship Dominar is now dearer by Rs 1,500, retailing at Rs 1,97,758. The Bajaj Dominar 400 BS6 was launched in April 2020 at Rs 1,91,751 (ex-showroom Delhi), an increment of just Rs 1,749 over its BS4 predecessor. Since the Dominar was already BS6-ready, the update hasn’t had any effect on its performance. The bike retains its 40PS and 35Nm output figures.
Dominar 400 Specifications
The 373.3cc DOHC liquid-cooled single-cylinder motor has its origins in the KTM 390 Duke’s powerplant. Output figures stand unchanged at 40PS and 35Nm even after being upgraded to BS6-compliance, and the engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox via a slipper clutch. This being the flagship Bajaj product, it’s held together by sturdy underpinnings consisting of a perimeter frame suspended on a 43mm USD fork and preload-adjustable monoshock. The rear swingarm is a stamped unit. Anchorage is provided by a sizable 320mm/230mm disc brake combo assisted by dual-channel ABS.
Dominar 400 Design
The Dominar labels itself as a hyper-tourer, so even though it is a naked, it isn’t as small and sharp as your average streetfighter. It sports a slightly raked-out look and the defining feature is its fascia characterised by the sharp LED headlight. The design features some heft and bulk in the fuel tank region and the double-barrel exhaust exits look quite cool as well.
Dominar 400 Features
The Dominar 400 sports an LED headlight and turn indicators. Instrumentation is fully-digital and consists of a twin-display setup. A beefy 43mm USD fork is offered up front and the rear monoshock is preload-adjustable. Safety net is provided by dual-channel ABS and it also features a slipper clutch.
Bajaj Dominar 400 Competitors
Comparing on specifications and performance, the Dominar goes up against the likes of the BMW G 310 R and Honda CB300R, both of which are significantly more expensive. In terms of price, the Dominar competes with the KTM 250 Duke, Royal Enfield Himalayan and Suzuki Gixxer SF 250.
