Bajaj CNG motorcycle - Freedom 125 - has finally gone on sale in India at a starting price of Rs 95,000 whereas the top-end Disc brake + LED light version costs Rs 1.10 lacs (ex-showroom). What makes it unique is the fact that it gets a 2KG CNG tank beneath the seat and a 2-litre petrol fuel tank. cumulatively, both offer a range of 330Km (realistic range). I think the petrol capacity is too low, it should be around 4L (new Scotty capacity). I don't think it's gonna sale in high volume, concept is excellent but sad reality availability of CNG pump and price (already 88, petrol 104, only 16 rupees difference)

Those who have the commuter bikes don't really fill the tank to the brim, they only fill based on their daily need, mostly around 200 rupees every once in a while, sometimes even less than that. So tank range is not really a concern, only concern is long line at cng station, continuously thinning price difference between patrol and CNG.

Only 2 lit petrol tank will be a deal breaker for most people. At least 5 lit petrol tank would have made sense. Also rear disc and ABS would have added more value considering they now give ABS in the Platina.
