Nano was a good car... If it was sold for around 1.8 to 2 lakh... the earlier version were cheapest..The newer version were as expensive as Alto and failed to deliver the same comfort as Alto.. so for the same budget people would definitely prefer alto over nano.

I seriously don't understand why Tata never tried to enter the Commercial space of replacing autos with Nano. It has a much better build quality, more space, its compact, has AC and even more power if you need it. They had always been in similar price bracket probably just didn't want it to lose its value to the 5-10 personal car buyers they have. Even today they should be a more bang for buck purchase compared to Qute.

God knows how hard Bajaj had to work to get it approved even for commercial fleet. But I wouldn't mind buying it for city use as a personal vehicle when the weather is bearable or in case of an emergency. Also very easy to shift gears. Ola and Uber should take a good look at this. Certainly way better than auto. I hope Bajaj also gets it approved for personal buyers. Outstanding detail Nabeel Bhai.

@Ashish AmbreI agree. But nano was a marketing disaster. Bajaj is keeping the expectations in check. This is not trying to replace a car. It's an upgrade to the auto. In that sense, this is so much better. Plus it has 4 wheels, a steering and hard doors. So it doesn't look as bare bones as the auto. That's part of the reason why I would seriously consider it as a personal vehicle if it launches with a killer price. Sadly, this is commercial only.

Hi Ayyagari Rama Krishna Rao, BS, You need to dial in the fact that the running cost of the Qute is very low. Mileage too with petrol is claimed to be 35kmpl. Bajaj clearly says that the Qute is not a replacement for a car, but the traditional 3-wheeler. Also, remember, the Tata Nano is not longer im production.

+AMenzZ In terms of handling, the addition of the fourth wheel has helped it gain more stability. Under hard braking, there is a lack of feedback from the pedal, and because of the lack of ABS, the tyres have a tendency to lock up. A more progressive brake feel would have made for a much more stable braking experience.

All auto rickshaws should be replaced by this and similar vehicles. Because of rickshaws' being 3-wheeled, they have a really small turning radius, thus unpredictable behaviour on the roads as most auto rickshaw drivers are reckless. Products like Qute will make the roads much safer.

Qute autorickshaw ko replace karne ke liye banayi gayi hai, lekin mera manna hai ki iska safal hona mushkil hai, aaye dekhe kyun - 1. Bonnet me zayada saaman rakhne se is car ke aage se uthne ka khatra hai 2. Driver ko baar baar sawari lene ke liye road par utarna padta hai, jahan se wo khade hokar sabko aawaz lagata hai, gate hone se ye kaam mushkil ho jayega, baar baar gate kholna padega 3. Front me 2 seperate seats hone ki wajah se aage driver ke saath 1 hi aadmi baith payenga, auto me 3 ya kabhi kabhi 4 log ghus jate hai 4. Charo taraf gate hone ki wajah se sawari aadhi bahar nahi latak payegi, jisse ander kam jagah banegi aur kam log baith payenge 5. Qute me ander baithi sawari ko gutka - pan thookne ke liye baar baar sheesha kholna padega, auto me wo badi hi aasani se kahin bhi peek mar sakte the. 6. Auto me baith kar sawari bahar ke dhool-dhakad, garmi, pasina dhoop aur barish ka asli maza le pati thi, lekin Qute me sawari nature se dor ho jayegi. 7. Auto ke paas se gujar bhar jaane se aap usme loud volume par baj rahe, chal chaiya chaiya chaiya, aur bhojpuri fankaro ke behad ashlil gaano la lufth utha sakte the lekin Qute me aisa nahi ho payega khun ki Qute me lage gate awaz ko bahar aane se rokenge. Bhaiyo bhalehi Qute me lakh kamiya ho, lekin ek acchai bhi hai, wo ye ki Auto me driver sawari ki ek hi layer baitha pata tha, kyun ki sawari ki ek layer keupar doosri layer lagane se log uppar se fisal kar bahar gir sakte the kyun ki auto me gate nahi the, lekin Qute me gate aagaye hai ab ek baar ke sawari ki 2 layer ek ke uppar ek lagayi ja sakti hai, koi uppar se fisla bhi toh bahar nahi girega aur gate se ruk jayega.

Dear friend If Indian market or public really looking for such small and economic car , then none car can defeat Tata Nano really a wonder car this car bajaj quet stand no where nearer to Nano in any aspect . I had experienced Tata Nano for 03 years marvellous performance travel in long drive very good performance ,this was only indians poor mentality which discard its production and made Tara to stop it's manufacturing otherwise it was a complete family car , fulfilling a family dreams and meets to their requirement .

Why buy cars, if this is such fuel efficient, my car gives 12km per litre while this gives 36km per litre....In concern about fuel consumption, we need to think about these kind of vehicles...

I think it'll be a definite flop because there are diesel autos (share autos) which is more economical that too in our areas 10 ppls travel in that so who'll buy that plastic ka dabba with pulsar 220 engine in that... Bajaj is wasting their time in that four wheeled auto instead they need to install that plastic doors to three wheels auto itself for saving passenger from dust and rains.

i hope this replaces all the auto rickshaws in the future, maybe Bajaj can come up with an exchange policy for all the indian auto drivers, maybe they can make one more variant of this, a slightly bigger one almost the size of the tata magic that would be great. Good days ahead atleast in terms of public transport.
