Cinderella
The girl is used as a maid.
Stepmother and step sisters go to the ball with the prince, leaving Cinderella at home.
A good fairy arrives, who provides the right outfits and a carriage so that Cinderella can go to the ball to the prince, but must return home before midnight. (In some versions, instead of a fairy, a tree appears on the grave of Cinderella's mother, which showers her with gold and silver.)
Cinderella at the ball enchants the prince.
Cinderella escapes from the ball at the last minute, losing her slipper. Outfits and carriage disappear.
The prince searches for Cinderella throughout the country, checking which girl the slipper will fit (sewn on a very small foot). Finally, stepmother goes home.
Cinderella's half-sisters try on a slipper, which, however, does not fit (in the fairy tale version of the Grimm brothers, Cinderella's sisters are persuaded by their mother to cut off their finger or a piece of heel so that the slipper can fit on the foot). When the prince wants to leave, he notices Cinderella and, despite protests, decides to put on a Cinderella slipper.
The slipper fits.
Prince and Cinderella live happily ever after.
Alternatively, a scene of revenge on stepmothers and step sisters (in the Grimm brothers, pigeons peck the eyes of the sisters when they walk in Cinderella's wedding procession).
