Potrebni je:
1 jaje
50 gr margarina
100 gr masti
100 gr šećera u prahu
300 gr brašna
na vrh noža praška za peciva
1 vanilin šečer
korica limuna po želji
dzem za mazanje
prah šećer sa vanilom za valjanje
Grandma and Grandpa's Timeless Vanilla Cookies
A tried-and-true recipe over 50 years old, these cookies are simply divine!
Ingredients:
1 egg
50g margarine
100g lard
100g powdered sugar
300g flour
pinch of baking powder
1 vanilla sugar
lemon zest (optional)
jam for filling
powdered sugar with vanilla for rolling
Instructions:
In a bowl, beat together the egg, margarine, lard, and powdered sugar until fluffy.
Add the flour and a pinch of baking powder. Mix until a dough forms.
Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness and cut out small circles using a cookie cutter or the cap of a soda bottle.
Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving a little space between each one.
Bake for about 20 minutes at 180°C (350°F).
Let the cookies cool completely before filling.
Spread a small amount of jam on one cookie and sandwich it with another.
Roll the cookies in powdered sugar mixed with vanilla.
Store in an airtight container. The longer they sit, the softer they become.
