Love the videos sir! I recently purchased this bike also, got the mule in kings camo with 25AH battery. Love it so far, it has handled anything I’ve thrown at it as long as I can keep traction with the rear tire and the front on the ground. One thing I haven’t quite figured is are you supposed to use the pedal assist and throttle at the same time or one or the other? Throttling with pedal assist on makes me feel as though it forces the pedals to spin faster. Any thoughts there? Hope the chest pain and foggiest you experienced in one of you other videos hasn’t reoccurred and you’ve gotten it checked out…

Congrats on your Bakcou! The power modes are for when your pedaling. The throttle over rides the power mode you have selected to the full 750watt or 1,000 watt. You do not need to pedal using the throttle. You'll notice the power gain on the display.... I have been feeling better after that hunt, thank you for asking! I haven't had them symptoms after that thank goodness.

@@compoundcowboy277 ahhh, so trying to pedal when using the throttle is pointless and not helping conserve battery. Pedaling only helps conserve battery if your only using the pedal assist? Glad to hear you’ve had no further issues with the chest pain. Bet that was a bit scary though. Hopefully just a crazy case of indigestion and anxiety/stress. That happened to my brother a few years back too. He went to the hospital over it and they told him is was just that, anxiety and indigestion. However, a few years later he had a heart attack, related or coincidence we have no idea. Just keep an eye on yourself, our health is nothing to play with! This body is the only one we get, unfortunately I have beat the crap out of mine over the years of farm life and playing hard and am feeling the wear and tear as I get older.

That is correct, the only way to Conserve power is to pedal and be on a low power output. That's scary hearing about your brother having a heart attack years later. Thank you for the feedback sir. Happy holidays to you and your family!

Anyone who hunts public land in PA might as well forget about it. Ebikes are still currently banned by PGC. Private land, sure.

I agree I'm hoping in time PGC makes them legal along with Sunday hunting full time. I'm lucky enough that I have multiple properties that are private.. I'm using the ebike to git to my propertys bc I don't drive

Just be careful on game lands and state forest. They are illegal on state land "closed to any motorized conveyance, except a battery powered wheelchair with a permit". Cool purchase though to get in and quietly and quickly

Yes you are correct in the state of Pa they are illegal on public land. I'm hunting 99.99% private land.

I know have 1,000 miles on the bike with no issues with anything. Yes you can pedal it with a dead battery or no battery at all with no real effort. The back wheel does a have a clicking noise at free wheeling but if you pedal ever so slightly it stops.. the bakcou is a very great investment

​ @Compound Cowboy I though if under 1HP electric bikes are legal. That is the case for Alabama when I called 18 months ago. Have the rules changed? I have a side by side I'm selling because I can't use on public lands and gravitating to an electric bike. Do you Backu provide state requirements for the USA? If these bikes are illegal what's the point for hunter oriented bike?

That is a great question. Bakcou bikes are class 1,2 & 3. Most states have a class 2 law's "750 watt" witch means there is no more than 750watts to the wheel and over 28mph but also can have a throttle but not exceed these limits.. Removing the throttle turns the bike into class 1... If you do not remove the throttle and don't limit the speed it's 1,000watts and 30+mph... Bakcou sells 750watt stickers if your state requires it. Please obey your state laws.

It will pull you up any hill you throw at it long as you can stay on and keep the front wheel down. That's speaking from a hard Enduro dirt bike rider.

I did my research and there are draw back's with the hub style. "Nylon gears" and alot more maintenance with the spokes. I'm glad I went with the mid drive.

100% got the better motor! Best motor on the market for this type of use! Sealed hub won’t pull the hills or deer!

@@lovejoy1230 Then why does the manufacturer even recommend the sealed hub, a long with every other knowledgeable hunter! I realize it's almost $2K, but until you try it you don't know!

Maybe but it's a piece of cake to pedal even with no power supplied. My last 2 hunts I showed how it does pulling deer behind it w a trailer.

Keep in mind it states 68 lbs without the battery, the batteries are pretty heavy
