His confidence is a huge part of that... trusting it. When he's not confident and really trusting it... he tries way too hard. As a fan of his for a while I can tell you... Tristan Wirfs is maybe the biggest factor this year. He never worries about his blindside... which has made having a backup RT super manageable... though not ideal

Because they don't. Nobody can watch every single game from Sunday/Monday and be able to talk about them on Tuesday. They just pretend they do. They watch a few games and watch the highlights and look at the stats like the rest of us. This Seth guy has no idea what he's talking about yes the Denver defense is pretty good and played the bucs well and surtain is a stud but the main problem in that game was the OLine protection and baker played very poorly he ran into a few sacks and pressure taped Camed out a a day later where mike was open plenty of times and for whatever reason Baker hesitated to pull the trigger or tried to play hero ball and run and ran into sacks.

I’m very happy for Baker Mayfield. The Browns clearly did him dirty. Tampa Bay was a blessing in disguise for him. They were already made team for him and if he continues on this, he might win comeback player of the year. It’s amazing. What happens when you let a guy develop and don’t put too much pressure on him, especially when you’re a quarterback.

Not an "escape guy" is just a bizarre ignorant comment. Is he thinking of Kirk Cousins? Baker evades a ton of sacks. He isnt near the athlete of a Jackson, Daniels or Kyler, nor a Mack Truck like Allen, but he consistently picks up one or two 1st downs a game with his legs. I think he was skittish against Denver. After the Detroit game, where Hutchinson destroyed his RT, Baker had a little PTSD. He even said his processing was sped up, and he was not waiting long enough for the plays to develop. The hangover from Detroit shook his confidence in the OLine and he sucked. This week they designed their attack around the weakness of their OLine, and the ball was out in just over 2 seconds.

For a guy who the media seems to think can't elevate his team and can't be the focal point of an offense and HAS to have a good running game... and all the other BS labels the media has placed on Baker Mayfield... other than probably the Bills with Josh Allen is there a team in the NFL that over the last 2 seasons has laid more at the feet of their QB to "just go win this for us" than the Buccaneers? They have had a dreadful running game for years now, problems protecting on the interior of the o-line, a hit and miss defense that generally gets gashed in the passing game, and last year really struggled with play-calling on early downs leading to the most 3rd and longs in the NFL. Somehow they still won their division and a playoff game and are leading the division once again.

He's not an "Escape" guy? Baker might as well be called Harry Houdini these last two years. The Line is Pretty Good? The right side of the line is a disaster! Which is why his release time was so quick this week as opposed to last week. It's an adjustment they had to make and why his constantly moving off of his spot and throwing on the run. Which by the way he's one of the best in the League at. The Running Game is pretty good? They were dead last in almost every category last year and this year Baker was they're top rusher in one game with 34 yrds. Everything is a swing pass to the RBs because if it's a straight hand off they get crushed. They're in the bottom 1/3rd of the League in every category excpet TD's and Baker has 2 of they're 3. Mike Evans is the reason the Offense moves? Evans is an amazing receiver. He's also leading the team in drops this year, just like he did last year, and he's been a Non-Factor in 2 out of 4 games this year, other than being a good decoy. Godwin has been arguably more valuable this season. I'm pretty sure this Seth guy watch a couple Baker 2021 Games and just assumes he's still the same guy. Because he sure as shit hasn't been watching Baker play for the last two years with these terrible takes. When oh when will they put some respect on Baker Mayfield's name?

Bake is hard to take down and your talking about “his lines good, wirfa and goedeke is good”…bro luke hasn’t played since week 1. He’s missed the last 3 games bc of a concussion and doesn’t sound like he’s playing Thursday. Baker been playing behind a practice squads right tackle. Cant wait for Luke to get back, kinda crazy he’s missed 3 week possibly 4 bc of concussion and never even saw the concussion happen week 1. We just found out after the game or the day after.
