He was even better in Cleveland. His deep ball was much better. He just played through an injury. People blamed him for Landry running a 5.3 and OBJ being washed. PFF Had him as QB2 after Brady in 2020. Then he was stuck in the inferno that Carolina was. Baker always been a good QB. Like Detroit Stafford but 6'0 instead of 6'3. Stafford was better in the pocket though.

Get the best QB they’ve had in three decades and dump him for a predator and trade away 3 first round draft picks and 2 second rounders and delete a talented team that would have been way better and probably would have won a Super Bowl already. Worse than Mike Martz who got rid of a top 10 TE all time in Greg Olsen cause he said " who needs TEs in the passing game". Jameis was an average starter. Byron was a bad OC that called HB dive on 1st, screen on 2nd and deep shots in 3rd. OLine was average. WRs were good but overrated. By no means was Jameis good but he wasn't bad. Flirting betweem average and below average starter. Like Andy Dalton. Like Flacco. Like Wentz after Philly. Brady was the best QB in the league. Overcame disfunction. Baker is a top 5 QB. Playcallers changed. Canales was average. Coen is good but not great A playcaller can make you or break you.

He was QB2 in 2020 after Brady He was QB3 in 2018 after Brady and Ryan Baker always was great. Just played through an injury in Cleveland and then got thrown into the inferno that was Carolina. Like a 6'0 Stafford. Also people assumed OBJ and Landry was Moss and Cris Carter. Obj was washed. And Landry shouldn't have been in the league post Miami. Runs like a 5.0. Even slower when runnung routes. Slower than Mercedes Lewis. I'd rather have Nkeal Harry. No joke.
