A wonderfull film . Burl Ives is lovely as the old mountain man . I'm only a half hour into the film and know already that I love it. These are the kind of REAL westerns ... I’m so glad that the old man didn’t get hurt and he had the fawn to comfort him. I’m so glad that the falcon wasn’t killed and that the father told Billy that it was okay that he had befriended the old man and that it was okay that he had saved the hawk. The cruelty of man is unbelievable in the name of justice. 😭😭😭😭

This movie was my very first sight of Clint Walker. I first checked it out one summer when I was visiting my grandparents in Florida as they had a VHS of it. I had no idea how good looking, fun and super kind Mr. Walker really was, particularly behind the scenes. The anger scene and the ending always get me!😭😊

What a magnificent movie... Thank you for the upload. Being one with nature is something to truly behold. Young Billy and the the Hawk was a beautiful story of love and acceptance, its sad though that evil in this world tries to seize control, though while love prevails it never will..
