Wow,, it’s sad to know that Louie Torres no longer owns the place. We are scheduled to visit Idyllwild this weekend and planned on surprising him. I personally know him :( He would have remembered my mother fondly and his orange tree when he used to live in San Diego. Great to see him in this wonderful video!

Too bad! This place is gone. Still open but under new ownership and the menus are different. Still reasonable.

We love Idyllwild. In fact will be going up there tomorrow for the weekend. We usually go up there every Memorial Day and Labor Day weekend. But this Memorial Day it was still closed due to the Coronavirus quarantine. Idyllwild It is our Mountain refuse from the Cement city next to traffic nightmare here in San Diego, Ca. We know Julian is closer, but it is alway so crowded on the weekends. Idyllwild is crowded, but is so much more spread out so it doesn’t seem that crowded. We have never been here, so we will make sure to visit this place on Sunday. Those sticky buns look awesome.

Loved your video! I’m a restaurant owner opening in Idyllwild later this month and would love to have you do a video of my bakery/deli/full bar/CHEFSTEVIE table/restaurant...shew that’s a mouthful. I’ve renovated a historic building on the village lane and would like you to consider doing a video of the restaurant and my employees. I hope to hear from you.
