I like your content a lot, and I understand your need to finance your channel through ads, I don't have a problem with that. I do have a problem with the specific method you're using- promoting Masterworks and taking their money is essentially giving financial advice while making a cut out of it, which puts you in the same category as financial experts, or people pretending to be one. There is no risk-free investing, and if it's too good to be true, it usually is. KZbinr Plain Bagel did a good video on your sponsor, and although they're not explicitly scamming people (as of yet), they have plenty of red flags. I warmly recommend you watch his analysis if you haven't already. You're risking your reputation for a product you likely don't grasp completely. It's not a shame to admit one doesn't understanding something - but to actively sell it to others without regard for consequences is what a snake oil salesman would do.

@@TammoKorsai essentially, you buy a share in a painting, sculpture etc, and when it is sold you receive a point or a percentage of the sale tbh, you need to be rich to make this successful as 0.0001% of a million pound is £1 even 0.001% is £10, so its kinda sketchy in that sense

Despite your videos being extremely informative and detailed, I'm going to point out the Masterworks sponsorship scam; they basically hire youtubers to promote what amounts to stock in their own company, but without any legal protections and while cherry-picking their returns (they sell only what increased in price and only count returns on those investments, not those that didn't increase).

...So, what's the scam? It's pretty upfront that you're buying stock in artwork with the bet that their value will rise. Why on earth would they sell artwork that hasn't risen in value? What stock exchange has significant legal protections for retail investors? The only fishy part for me is the assertion their ads sometimes make that there's a 'waiting list'.

Well... it's just the military pundits coming around. You have to give them a break, it's kind of hard to shift opinions as quickly as needed to keep up with Russian military incompetence. If you look at the front and what's going on, they're still attacking all over the place, still looking for weakness, still being generally rebuffed and, well, it's over. The Ukrainians don't seem to be running out of reserves nearly fast enough and what's left of the Russian reserves can't be risked unless the Ukrainian lines collapse... but they didn't, and they aren't likely to anytime soon. And no, slow withdrawals are not a collapse. Thus, these pundits are faced with the fact that the entire winter offensive period, admittedly somewhat short by historical standards (mild winter), has been lost through Russian incompetence. The Russians even failed at attritional warfare. It's over. The Ukrainians easily survived the Russian winter offensive with only losing a few positions. Can that really be true? Probably. So, now we wait for the summer offensives to begin. Will the Ukrainians succeed at manoeuvre warfare *again?* Probably. Will the Ukrainians succeed in strategic supply strangulation forcing Russian withdrawals *again?* Probably. Will the Russians try attritional warfare *again?* Probably.

It was breezed over fairly quickly, but Excalibur artillery rounds are no joke. It is a GPS guided 155mm HE round that can find its target designated with a 10-digit grid reference - that means that it will strike a target with an accuracy of +/- 1 meter. Standard expected drift for dummy HE rounds in flight is +/- 250 meters. The high-speed video they showed us of it in action put the round _through the passenger window of a target pick-up truck_ before detonating.

The negative of Excalibur being the $150k + cost. What makes sense is the $5k fuse called a precision guiding kit, PGK, that can screw into a standard artillery fuse mount. This gives a standard artillery round the accuracy of the Excalibur without the high cost. This kit makes a standard artillery shell between 10 to 20 times more effective. The fuse can also be set for air burst, contact or peniitration. One other trate being the fuse will deactivate the shell if it goes off target so the shell can be used for close Infantry support. The US does have large stocks of these artillery fuses but is reluctant to send fuses from it's stockpile and is sending only current production. I would suggest witting to legislators an sharing on media the stupidity of this policy. Our current stocks should be sent now and rebuilt later. Ukraine needs effective weapons now.

If terrible sponsors make this stuff possible, it'll only ever truly be terrible if we find ourselves fooled into the ponzieske tycoon. K&G have already lost a sponsorship in an effort to appease us- how much more can we ask really? Not without fore-planning and assuring sufficient communal financing beforehand can we ask for the abolishing of any further sponsorships of K&G. It's not for lack of agreement on the sponsorship quality that I ramble on, but it's the desired end- K&G have duties to uphold, duties they are made able to fulfill on account of these sponsors. I just bid you be understanding of that enough to tailor your words about it. Showing understanding paves the way for effective action.

Another development in Russian tactics is that they have long since abandoned their much vaunted battalion tactical group formation and have created a new one called the 'assault detachment' which is a battalion sized element consisting of three assault companies, an artillery unit and a command unit. Instead of armor spearheading the assault, they are to act as fire support with infantry platoons and small assault teams moving ahead after artillery strikes. These change in tactics appear to be aimed at preserving Russian armor strength.
@joselitostotomas8114
@joselitostotomas8114 Жыл бұрын
It seems to have been created for assaulting fortified positions. nothing new here, since the marines has been shifting to a similar infantry setup. The problem with it is that it relies on good leader ship at the junior officer and NCO level to be effective. All it does it wastes infantry strength, since the Russians do not have that type of leadership.

After the rout of Kharkiv Oblast where Russian Moral was gone and spread across the whole region, I think by compartmentalising the troops they are trying to prevent another rout through low moral. We are already seeing endless Mobiks platoons complaining on video. This is all good news for Ukraine. Their invaders are like the blind leading the blind. Everyday we see a new platoon, welly’s and guns, nice outfits driving their armoured vehicles into yesterdays failed advance that they likely knew nothing of

Great video as always but there is one thing. I used to write this comment at the beginning of the series, and I believe, someone from the channel reacted to it but change has not been made. P66 the name of the road in the Svatove-Kreminna area is written in Cyrillic. The "P" is actually Cyrillic "R" from the word "Регіональна" - Regional. So it is called Regional 66, thus it should be pronounced as "R66". And you can arguably call it a "Highway", but not "T" roads as you did in the video, as "T" stands for "Territorial", and territorial roads are the lower level of the roads in Ukraine. Basically, the order goes like this: E-highways - European roads (stretching all across Europe) M-highways - International highways (from the word Міжнародна - International) H-highways - National highways (from the word Національна - National. Usually connects regional centres) R-roads - local roads between different cities within regions or between non-central cities of different regions (meaning explained above) T-roads - territorial roads, that connect small towns and villages. Not highways by any means. Thanks once more, I hope this will be fixed in future videos.

I'm really not a fan of people taking masterwork sponsors. I get why channels need sponsors but ones that are 'financial investments' like these are more often harmful to the fans who want to support or buy into your sponsorships. From what I've heard ya masterworks can be great but there is a lot of basically hidden fees and a skewing of their numbers as art that raises in value sells quickly where as stuff not making a return just never gets sold meaning that it doesn't impact the numbers they are saying people make. Subjective sponsorships are fine or ones of just products (unless the product is known bad such as komikoto knives) but financial ones are a lot more sketch when people promote them.
@kennj321
@kennj321 Жыл бұрын
I'm completely skeptical of investing in artwork like that as a way to make returns. Its really a vanity investment that has historically attracted the ultra rich. If institutional money becomes significant the art market will lose its cachet.
@FatedGamer
@FatedGamer Жыл бұрын
@@kennj321 Well it is also just that art does not sell very often. Its a very subjective sell so unless someone wants to own that specific artwork its not going to sell for any real value. So any tracking of value or charts are completely fabricated unless the company is getting an offer for that exact artwork. Like the graphs they show are completely nonsense. Also from what I've seen they setup a company for each piece of art and you are effectively getting a share in that company NOT the artwork itself. So there is a fee associated with taking care of the art and the costs the company itself takes. So its all just messy and the chance for profit is low with extremely subjective changes in price.
@FatedGamer

@@hughgrection7246 Agreed. The thing I hate most is channels that do a lot of research should at least just do a video search for videos about the group they are showing off to see how good it actually is. @kingseb2252 I agree but this isn't just an ad it's a brand deal. If I see an advert from KZbin at the start I know the youtuber doesn't inherently support that ad. Then again videos covering weapons of the Ukraine / Russia conflict may already have reached saturation. Haven't looked for them because as I said I recognize 19 out of 20 items you post. Keep up the awesome work, and now I have to look up that MLRS munition from Pakistan and its production capabilities. Bad channel, you made me work at something. :) OK, BM21 reload missiles. I had absolutely no idea anybody except the Russians and maybe the Chinese still made munitions for them. I mean the system dates back to the end of the US involvement in Vietnam. And Russia is looking at older artillery pieces from the great patriotic war, so I shouldn't be surprised. I just didn't realize Ukraine would be getting those munitions from Pakistan. But I guess if North Korea can supply the Soviets - oops I meant Russians - artillery shells, Pakistan can supply munitions for an obsolete Soviet volley fire missile systems for Ukraine..

It's pretty nerve-wracking to think about the strategic moves being made by both sides, especially given the potential consequences if either side were to fail in their offensive. My personal patriotism is alive and well in defending the Constitution and Rule-of-Law that recognizes that *All Men/Women are Created Equal and Free!* That's worth keeping alive and free from war and genocide. However, that means that the present US government 'Wars' are not in defense but offense and consequently produce *Genocide* as their 'Medal of Dishonor'. Simplest way to get aircraft to Ukraine is offer to replace the units old Eastern bloc countries hold with updated fighters, even ones that are almost considered outdated. ( Everything military is outdated 10 years before its produced now anyway) Countries like Poland and Romania get updates of Western aircraft while passing the Soviet made gear to Ukrainian pilots who would be familiar with the systems without retraining. Has to be a lot of those Soviet made units and spare parts floating around. Mightn't be the best but at least give them a fighting chance.

Starting it out moderately is better, I'd argue. They're new to the equipment. No matter how much training you go through, combat is always going to be the final test. Giving them a smaller number allows for them to figure it out in the field, with their mistakes not being nearly as crippling. That'd let them build up a core of experienced Ukrainian crewmen to work as trainers. That means no language barriers, as well as being able to convey how Ukraine *actually* uses them, rather than simply whatever American/British/German/French doctrine is. Meaning that if this round isn't able to end the war, the next larger one most certainly will. Caution in this regard is a good thing.

It's incredible to see how brave Ukrainians are not only to defend their homeland against a much bigger enemy, but also to witness their phenomenal fighting spirit as to not give up on the idea that one day Ukraine could join the European Union. The old soviet empire is long gone. It's passé; it's a finished business. Ukraine has understood that long time ago, but it was too weak to do something about it. The awakening moment was the the Revolution of Dignity also known as the Maidan Revolution or the Ukrainian Revolution, which took place in February 2014 in the center of Kyiv. Since that particular moment in time, her awaken spirit has not given up on fighting and will keep fighting until she will get rid of her old skin so she can enter a whole new world. Fresh and ready to go! A perspective from an awaken Moldovan.

I remember a year later when it was 'over' a news company did a special report & went to the border towns & met up with a squad of soldiers who protected the borders. They'd be shot at randomly sometimes & they'd volley back. A Ukrainian Elder loved in a building that had been shelled. She lost her husband in it so she took a new apartment. She said she wouldn't leave like everyone else because she would not dare change her life just because of the Russians. She said that she could hear gunfire every night. I don't see why no one saw this coming. Then again this all is very surreal.
