That’s because Baki is way out of his league. He was never ready to kill to survive. If you notice Baki was serious in this fight, real serious he would have Kill Jr. if his father didn’t step it. That punch from Ali didn’t even Faze Baki. Don’t go messing with baki’s girl if Jr. wasn’t mr. steal yo girl maybe Baki would have put up a show and have punch exchange brawl instead of an one side Assassination fight.

Even more that it feels like the masters couldn't have taken Jr on without Jack softening him up for that. I would have preferred him getting taken down a peg that didn't also lessen the masters in my eyes (particularly Doppo and Shibukowa)

Hate how Jr got done so dirty (not saying he didn't need to be taken down a peg, because _he did!),_ if primarily it feels like the masters could have made their points without waiting for Jack to soften him up for them. They could have come back like, "Even if a martial art is new, just remember that being so kind to your opponents only lets them come back with knowledge of how to counter it, as well that they won't always wait for you to be at your best" Instead we're treated to this moment that feels like they can't beat him unless someone else can ragdoll him first. But I do like how him handily defeating this dude that beat the masters kinda sets up that he's ready to face Yujiro, that's pretty cool
