Hi Habiba, it must be Christmas cake baking day. That’s exactly what I am doing. For the season my Mommy, would always make Christmas cake, Sorrel, Ginger beer and Rum punch for the grownups. It is a special time of the year; as we celebrate the season, and honor our loved ones who have passed; with memories and traditions. For us in Nigeria, the staple snack is 'chinchin', then the hibiscus drink.. popularly known as 'zobo' here in Nigeria. Another thing my mom doesn't ever miss to make is salad the Nigerian way with so much ingredients 🤣 and her signature chicken tomato stew, neighbors and friends deliberately and stylishly come around just to have a taste of big mummy,s chicken stew with rice and salad... 🤣🤣 and of course some chilled hibiscus drink and chinchin. I feel nostalgic writing this, brings back so many memories. I love the Christmas season, a time filled with love and sharing...😍❤️😍

Hi Habiba! I know baking the cakes in so much volume requires a lot of labor. But, maybe, you can find a CO-PACKER in your area that can help you with make the cakes in larger volumes for public sale. Because, some folks don't like to bake, or care much for recipes. And so, you can still cater to the majority of folks that LOOVE the convenience of an already baked cake from your family recipe. This way, your fans and platform supporters can help to support and contribute to your channel, especially, being that you already have the CLIENTELE, and they're ready to BUY and SUPPORT you. You can research possible CO-PACKERS in your area, or maybe, in nearby communities and out of state. Something worth looking into sometime. ✌🏾👉🏾👌🏾💯💯

Black cake is my most favorite. Before I learn to make those cakes my mom used to make me 2 pounds of Black cake and one pound cake and when they were done I was warned not to touch the rest of the cakes which was for friends and family.

I buy the cake tins from mostly Hobby Lobby as soon as they come out because during the year it is hard to find them. Other times I have to go online. Finding tons can be a challenge especially the right size! You have to make sure the size matches or is slightly larger than the baking tin.

Firstly, Hau'oli La Hanau (Happy Birthday in Hawaiian) to your mom & kiddo, since we're Hawaiian/Chinese/Puerto Rican/Portuguese we actually have a little of everything during Christmas-Kalua Pua'a (pig, crock pot version, no digging a pit in the back yard), Jook (Chinese) soup & vegetable Chow Fun & fried rice ( mom likes Kim Chee in hers), Pasteles a Puerto Rican type of Tamales but we use green banana for Masa, Portuguese Sweet Bread ( Pan Doce), Haupia ( Hawaiian coconut pudding) and Dad had to have his fav Prime Rib , Mele Kalikimaka and Hau'oli Maka Hiki Hou to you and your Ohana!

Is Salmon healthy to eat? There's been some rumble lately on a utube channel that it is no longer healthy to eat.....what do u think, have u heard about that?

Perhaps it depends on whether the Salmon is farm raised or wild salmon. Assuming the Salmon has not been treated with a whole bunch of antibiotics or hormones and is not from contaminated waters - as a whole my understanding is Salmon is very heart healthy and good for you! It is one of my favorite fish! Key is to always look at the labels to see Where your food comes from!
