Hi, I would like to go to this park but they don't charge me to book from their site, no one answers my emails and the numbers they put on the site don't work. do you kindly have any contact information for someone who works in that park?
@ebguinness6 ай бұрын
@@lorenzocroiaI just went, and as shown in this video, you need to be there to book all the tickets and such. I don't think there's any online option.

Hey! Thank you =D I'm glad you're planning to go to Borneo. It is beautiful. If you go to Kuching, check out the 'ayam pansuh' at Pinggai Restaurant- it is really delicious. Another place to go is also Lepau Restaurant - try the special fried rice with tapioca leaves =D =D =D

Hello, thanks for the useful info in the video. Can you please clarify what you were saying about the additional boat ride to see the sea stacks and the cost of that? Do you negotiate the entire fee with the boat man (including going to the park HQ + sea stacks) before you get on the boat in the morning? Do you pay him in the morning or after you return? Does this guy just wait at the park HQ for you all day? Also, any idea what is the latest time you can leave park HQ (and then do sea stacks) because I read the park closes at 17:00. Thanks in advance

Hi Aston. Thanks for watching :) to answer your question: There are two types of boat services to Bako- a private charter and the shuttle boat. Private charter is RM200 return while shuttle is RM40 return. The shuttle is sort of like a public bus that accommodates a maximum of 15 pax so if it’s peak season it may be a little difficult to coordinate a sea stack tour. So my recommendation is to charter the private boat. If you can get a minimum of 5 people to join on this, it’ll already work up to be the same price as shuttle bus. From there you negotiate the price directly with the driver and let him know about the sea stack tour too. We paid RM46 in total for the sea stack tour. I would say do this in the morning or you can even prebook the night before (You can find some numbers on the 'Boat service Bako National Park' FB page). If there’s only two of you then you’d have to do it in the morning so you could go to the jetty and find other tourists to ‘share’ with. When the driver drops you off at the Park HQ he'll ask what time you want to leave the HQ for the sea stack tour. You can ask what time is the latest you can stay (this will depend on the daily tide), and from there you can plan your time. The sea stack tour will take about 30-45 minutes. Enjoy Bako ! 😊😊😊

Thanks for sharing. This is a great video. Would you recommend staying over for a night or two?
@gogogracie Жыл бұрын
You’re welcome :) If you like animals and wildlife then I’d say yes, stay for the night or two nights cause then you can do the night walk. But if you’re more into scenery and views, I personally think day trip to Bako is enough- and then fly to Mulu National Park. It’s a unesco heritage site and really one of a kind.

Hi Grace, thank you for the useful info. I have 2 questions : My partner and I are planning a day trip to Bako next week and since we move around with a rental car, (1) Wondering if there is any car park available near the jetty ? If not, was it safe to just park anywhere nearby ? (2) Where exactly did you see the crocodiles? Any park rangers around to keep us safe ? Will we bump into any Crocs at the end of Telok Paku Trail (beach side) ? We want to get ourselves / our mind prepared before the trip. ;-)
@gogogracie Жыл бұрын
Hey Ken! Yes there’s a car park right outside the jetty. And in terms of the crocodiles we didn’t see any but you will be completely safe as long as you don’t go into the water. The croc reports were only for those who actually went swimming. Have a great holiday ☺️
