Gosh, I'm really surprised, that Bakugan had diffrent openings for seasons! In our Country (Russia) there was only one song for all 4 seasons, but it was okay for a Child. Though, Bakugan is forever the best part of my childhood🤧

My opinion is that the first series characters was the best, I mean the battle brawlers and they should've continued the other seasons with them other than introducing new characters as main.Cause the brawlers friendship has inspired many to have friends including me.Before watching this I was like friends are so annoying but after I watched bakugan battle brawlers I totally changed,now I'm one of the many who has some sweet bff's around..so I suggest the first season as best

I agree and disagree. I think the original set a good precdent for the show and provided it traction and was able to sell it as a game to kids with rules. However, I think that New Vestroia did better because it took the original series, and added more to its plot. The villains in New Vestroia were continuous throughout the series, rather than the numerous episodic villains we had in the original, and all of them were able to be developed. People like Hydron and Spectra are the best examples, as we can see how they changed throughout the series. Not to mention that we got to see how far their morales went, as Volt and Lynk weren't pure evil and were ready to leave the Vexos when they saw he was going to annihilate millions, while Shadow and Mylene were more willing to go full apocalypse, but still cared for each other. I'd say Hydron had the most development, as he went from a spoiled prince, to an expert brawler who followed all his fathers' commands and was still beaten, and the ghosts of those who he had betrayed for his father began to haunt him, leading to his eventual betrayal. When he saves Gus and Vulcan from the BT System, he realizes that no one wants him around anymore and decides his final act would be to stop his father and reunite with Lynk and Volt. Honestly, for a character that I thought so little of in the beginning, he was actually one of the best-written characters in the entire franchise. First series was good, but I think New Vestroia had the better developed plot and characters.

Also seeing one of the OPs for Gundalian Invaders which reusing New Vestroia's theme song leads me to suspect there were plans for Ren and Linehalt to betray Gundalia and join the Brawlers full time early on, but plans changed as they wanted to develop Ren more as a Gundalian soldier and his bond with Linehalt while fighting against the Brawlers and Nethia

I don’t like how they changed so many characters every season. It also became more of just pure fighting rather than being strategic in later seasons. Most importantly, Runo and Dan were dating at the end of s1, then they just scrapped that??? It all went downhill after s1 I liked the later seasons more when I was young, but I now realize how much better s1 was after rewatching it now that I’ve grown up PS apparently only s1 was made by Japan, and it was the only season that was actually good lol. This shows why the west or anyone else other than Japan should not interfere with anime
