Peter came up with the idea of “Narration” before each song , In order to give Michael & Steve time to tune their Guitars/Bass . Peter believed that the audience being subjected to silence was unfair , So Peter began introduction of each song with a Narrative for not only Michael & Steve , But for the Fans in attendance as well . As long as it took Michael & Steve to get organized, Would be the length of Peter’s Narration . Phenomenal Band .

Steve and Peter were never friends. In fact, the band was formed by Peter and Tony who are friends since childhood. @@silentgnome Not true at all. They still talk. Steve Hackett reached out to Peter first when he had his financial troubles in the early 80's. And if you watch any of the band interviews Steve and Pete seem to be on the same wavelength. When Banks yet again mentioned that Lamb was "flawed" Hackett made sure to mention that it's been voted the top prog album ever several times lol. Banks seemed to be the reason Peter left the band. Way ahead of their time... 1:49 this lick sounds very post 2000 R&B. 4:14 reintroduces the same lick but it’s a more avant garde, borderline 90s black metal sounding version of it. They were exploring genres that weren’t even genres yet. Truly progressive.
